This easy Almond Nutella Pastry roll recipe is a lovely Nutella dessert! If you or your family is a fan of hazelnut spread, you will love this easy pastry recipe.
These look and taste more complicated then they are and whether you serve them as a dessert, tea party food or brunch side dish, they are likely to be a popular item.
I first published this recipe a few years ago, but have since updated it with some tips and photos. If you have never used puff pastry sheets, you are in for a treat because this pre-made dessert dough really helps you elevate a dessert easily.
I first made this recipe during my first year of blogging. The pictures are not the greatest, but the flavor and ease of this recipe will have you and your guests wanting more. If you are a Nutella lover, make these soon. The sweet taste of the hazelnut spread and hint of almond flavor are wrapped up nicely in a flakey pastry puff dough.
They are seriously as good as a warm doughnut! Perfect with coffee, milk or tea or even wine as an after dinner dessert idea. They also look really nice on a plate or dessert tray, at least for a short time because they will be gone quickly!

How To Make Almond Nutella Pastry
This recipe uses almond paste for a great flavor combination.
The prepared pastry dough is cut into circles,
Would you like to save this?
Then topped with the hazelnut spread and almond paste,
Topped with another dough circle and sealed.
Then you brush each pastry with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.
Cut a little opening at the top of each pastry before setting in the oven.
And then bake. These were so good. I ate one before I finished writing this post. I will be using almond paste again very soon.

You have sold me! I've never used almond paste before but I can almost taste it. I think it would really complement the nutella, which is strong on its own, but I like something else to cut through the sweetness.
