If feedback is positive, it can be rolled out more broadly; if issues arise, the feature can be easily turned off without affecting the entire application. This approach acts like dimmer switches for your software, giving you control over the brightness of new features while maintaining overall stability.

Architectural stability is very important. Eventually the system can be unstable if we keep adding new innovations without thorough research and knowledge. Always keep researching on the impact of the new things and discuss the trade-offs with the client. Clients love when you speak in their domain language, not in your usual technical language. Also, they really need the application to be stable. Be thoughtful of that when you discuss the trade-offs with your valuable clients.

Balancing priorities is crucial for maintaining stable software architecture while driving innovation. Understanding what clients value most helps align development efforts effectively. For example, in a fintech application, if a client requests a new investment feature, the team must assess its impact on system stability. If the architecture is at risk, it may be wiser to prioritize optimizing existing features first. This balance resembles a tightrope walker who must adjust focus to ensure neither stability nor innovation falters. By advocating for the right priorities, the team can meet client needs while ensuring the software remains reliable and robust.
