Scaling No-code is a big challenge. It's not a stable foundation. As complexity grows over time, the foundation starts to shake. what happens to a structure with a weak foundation when an earthquake hits? --- What happens to an application built with Bubble when you start to grow and add new features for new workflows and new products and new services? What happens when that big contract gets signed and you need to quickly hire a team to implement? How easily could you onboard a team in a no-code environment? Can it handle the requirements easily or will it require workarounds or hacky solutions? Will the product look and function the way your client will want? Bubble is a great tool we use it all the time, but I think most people would agree it has its limitations. Most big tech engineers (Google, Meta, Amazon, etc.) can't code a product end to end. That's because they only know how to answer interview questions. To prepare, these engineers memorize thousands of interview questions from a platform called Leetcode. Back at Harvard, Leetcode was all the buzz among CS students. In classrooms, cafes, libraries… everyone and their mother was memorizing Leetcode. I often overheard people bragging about how many Leetcode problems they solved, their global Leetcode rank, and the new badge they earned. Things I overheard: “Just plug and chug these templates and you should be good.” “Here’s a cheat sheet covering all types of problems they ask.” “It doesn’t matter why it works, just memorize the solution.” Now with AI, it doesn’t make sense for big tech to test how well you can memorize Leetcode solutions. Are you ever going to memorize better than an AI model? Big tech companies need to completely change their interview process. Didn’t get into big tech? Failed your Leetcode interview? That’s ok.
