The Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia 76ers announced today they have selected a joint venture led by Turner Construction Company and AECOM Hunt as the construction manager for their new state-of-the-art arena in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. The joint venture, named PACT+, will also include prominent Philadelphia-based firms Perryman Construction, Hunter Roberts Construction Group and Camfred Construction. PACT + will work closely with the teams’ ownership and the design team at Populous and Moody Nolan to bring the new arena to life. The targeted opening date for the arena is 2030, coinciding with the debut of the new WNBA Philadelphia team, which will play there.   📰: http://bit.ly/4njyzPi

Yesterday, Comcast Spectacor Chief Operating Officer Phil Laws was named a 2025 Philadelphia Business Journal Corporate Leadership Awards honoree. The award recognizes the region’s most impactful C-suite leaders spanning a wide range of industries and the impact they've had at their company. A 25-year veteran of the sports and entertainment industry, Phil provides direct oversight to all venues and operations including security, guest services and events in Comcast Spectacor’s portfolio. Phil will be recognized amongst each of the other honorees at a live event on July 10 at the Down Town Club in Old City and profiled in a special edition of the Business Journal on July 11. Congratulations, Phil, on this much-deserved honor!

Comcast Spectacor is excited to announce alongside Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment that South Philadelphia’s world-class sports and entertainment venue will be renamed Xfinity Mobile Arena starting in September!   As one of the fastest-growing wireless services in the country, Xfinity Mobile’s brand will become the centerpiece for sports and entertainment in South Philadelphia. The partnership will bring new technologies and innovations at all events, including Flyers, 76ers, Wings, and Villanova Men’s basketball games as well as premier global concerts and other entertainment events.
