Excited to finally make this official: after some really exciting results with our early launch partners (double to triple digit increases in conversion rates for people who interact with it), Constructor’s new Product Insights Agent is now Generally Available. The Product Insights Agent is meant to answer “last-mile” questions about products to give shoppers the confidence to buy (ie does the lamp have a dimmer? Can you install on a sloped ceiling?). It can both use internal company data as well as scour the internet and use general human knowledge to answer questions. A big thank you to all of our early launch partners, and an especially big thank you to Sharon Gautschi from Elevated Brands Group who was willing to be quoted for our launch press release and to share some of the numbers she saw when they installed the agent. Curious about their results? See our press release in the comments.

  • Search might not be every shopper’s starting point, but it’s a key destination for high-intent shoppers. Only 14% of visitors on home goods sites use search, yet they drive 42% of total revenue. And 61% of shoppers say retail search still needs an upgrade. In other words, search really matters, and most retailers still haven’t nailed it. In our latest Split/Test Digest, we explore how home goods brands can connect intent and attractiveness to turn high-intent searches into high-value conversions. Read the full story by Nate Roy 👇

  • Every brand deserves a product discovery experience as exceptional as their customers. That’s why we’re thrilled to share how Monica Vinader used Constructor to localize product discovery across geographies. The results: 5% lift in conversions in the US. As their team put it, “We’ve been able to test, learn, and see results that prove the impact of localized product discovery.” This is personalization, proven. I've been thinking about the future of commerce and spending time studying the data around the effect on it ChatGPT is having. At Constructor we work with a lot of retailers and brands and so get a view into its effect that few others do, and a big chunk of my week tends to be catching up with leaders in ecommerce. I wrote the below to summarize some of my thoughts based both on publicly available data, the data we have access to at Constructor, and conversations with ecommerce leaders about what they want.

  • 68% of shoppers say retailer search still needs an upgrade. 66% admit they turn to Amazon in frustration when they can’t find what they need. Even after years of investment, search remains broken, and shoppers’ patience is wearing thin. Constructor and Shopify surveyed more than 1,500 consumers across the US and Europe to uncover how discovery and decision-making have evolved. The message is clear: retailers must adapt or risk losing customers to faster, more intuitive experiences. If you haven’t read our State of Ecommerce 2025 Report, now’s the time, especially as you plan your 2026 strategies. 📘 Read the full report here: https://okt.to/x8r51v.
