For those of you who did not know, Caregility was first started as a line of business within Yorktel. Due to its success, it was spun out as Caregility in September 2019. Since then, Ronald J Gaboury has been the CEO of both companies. Last week, after over 30 years as a privately held company, Yorktel was acquired by private equity. It was a great decision made at the right time, to the right kind of investors. As part of the acquisition, Ron stepped down as Yorktel's CEO. He will remain the CEO of Caregility. Congratulations Ron on a job very well done. And congratulations to Yorktel and the bright future ahead.
By now, I am sure many of you have read the various press releases from late last week. The announcement is simple: Yorktel was acquired by a prominent private equity firm based in New York City. Our search for the right partner began earlier this year and was thorough and thoughtful. We wanted to find an organization worthy of the incredible company we have built together. York and I, and the entire Yorktel executive team are confident that we have made the right choice, as they are the perfect fit for what we hold dear. We did not take this decision lightly. I am filled with a mix of emotions — pride, gratitude, and sadness. For the past 30 years, I have had the privilege of leading this remarkable company. Together, we weathered storms, celebrated victories, and built something truly special. When I stepped into this role, I made a promise—not to be the smartest person in the room or to have all the answers, but to be a steward of our values, our people, and our potential. Looking back, I can confidently say that Yorktel’s successes are not mine alone; they belong to everyone who ever walked through our doors. They have been the innovators, the problem-solvers, the ones who showed up every day ready to make a difference. We faced challenges, made mistakes, and learned from them. We have celebrated wins and used them to push ourselves further. Throughout it all, we have stayed true to our core purpose: serving our customers and making a positive impact on the marketplace. To everyone who has been part of this journey, our employees, customers, partners, shareholders, and our families, thank you. Your trust and support have meant everything.
