This week, Carolina Handling presented a donation to Miracle Hill Ministries, Inc. in Greenville, SC to support their 19th annual Turkey Fry, which is South Carolina’s largest one-day turkey fry event! On the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, 700 turkeys will be fried and smoked to help feed thousands of people in need, including those experiencing homelessness, guests in Miracle Hill’s shelters and families across the Upstate. This donation was made possible thanks to our associates, who raised the funds during our annual Sales & Service Meeting. Each fiscal year, Carolina Handling focuses our philanthropic efforts on a specific area of need within our communities. This year we're Raising the Roof to supporting individuals and families facing homelessness and housing insecurity. #RaiseTheRoof #givingback #community

As we celebrate Veterans Day this month, we’re proud to be recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal as a local employer creating supportive environments for veterans. Our Training team rolled up their sleeves at The Salvation Army and spent the day packing meals, cleaning, organizing racking, assembling tables and making sure resources were ready for our neighbors in need. This Saturday, nearly 70 Carolina Handling associates rolled up their sleeves and came together for a Habitat for Humanity Build Day in five cities across our territory, including Greenville, SC, Charlotte, NC, Stone Mountain, GA, Pleasant Grove, AL and Raleigh, NC. Our teams painted, installed siding, built decks and supported our communities with hands-on help. This multi-city effort is part of our yearlong effort to Raise The Roof, where we're focused on supporting those experiencing homelessness and people in need. We're #RaisingTheRoof this year, and our AR Team brought the interior of three families’ homes to life. They delivered and set up kitchen tables and chairs, couches, coffee and side tables, desks and most importantly, built beds so that everyone has a safe and comfortable place to sleep at night.   Way to #RaiseTheRoof! 🏡
