For more than 125 years, safety standards have protected people and property. Safety codes exist because people get harmed without them. These safety standards help communities better prepare for current threats and have dramatically reduced dangers like fire incidents and deaths. Edmond’s Department of Building & Safety protects the health, safety, and public welfare of our community by enforcing safety codes, policies, and city ordinances. This holiday season, do your part to prevent FOG (fats, oils, and grease) from clogging your plumbing system! Proper FOG disposal is essential—these substances harden in pipes, leading to clogs, sewer backups, and costly messes for everyone. Dispose of all cooking waste the right way! - Never pour oil or grease down the drain - Collect and freeze FOG in a can for disposal later - Scrape leftover food into a trash can - Use strainers in the sink to catch food scraps Learn More: https://lnkd.in/giiFAwUX
