"Blue Zones" are regions in the world where people live longer, healthier, and more vital lives than average. Through the Blue Zones Project Scottsdale, the city of Scottsdale, Arizona is focusing re-shaping its environment to address social determinants of health, enabling access to heathier choices and helping people live longer lives. This week, Blue Zones Project Scottsdale announced that The Cigna Group's Raintree Campus has earned the distinguished Blue Zones Project approval as a worksite designation, along with several other organizations and restaurants in the city. Members of Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth Health Services gathered to celebrate this designation alongside Scottsdale Mayor, David Ortega including General Manager and Market Leader of Arizona, Pete Chuchro and President at Evernorth Care Group, Jeffrey Holt. Employers play a crucial role in fostering well-being by encouraging employees to move more, eat better, and strengthen social connections. The Cigna Healthcare team in Phoenix, Arizona celebrated Halloween 🎃 by dressing up and handing out treats at the Homeward Bound Trunk or Treat event coordinated by Turn A New Leaf, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting people experiencing homelessness, including children.
