  • 💡 Simplified tech stacks. One trusted access point. Students ready for whatever’s next. At the National Rural Education Association's NFARE 2025 Conference, we had powerful conversations with rural and small district leaders focused on finding balance — simplifying their digital ecosystems, supporting teachers who juggle multiple subjects, and preparing students for a fast-changing world. One message came through clearly: when educators have one reliable place for digital learning, it makes a real difference in how classrooms run and how teachers feel supported. ✨ We also loved co-hosting a packed reception with our friends at Discovery Education, bringing together educators and leaders for great conversation, collaboration, and community. 📸 And if you stopped by the Clever photobooth, we hope you left with a keepsake and a smile that reminds you of the inspiring work you do every day. Thank you to everyone who made NFARE 2025 such a meaningful experience. We can’t wait to see you again in San Antonio, Texas, October 19–21, 2026! 🤠

  • We’re heading to the SETDA Conference in Arlington, VA to talk about the future of digital learning. At Clever, we believe that education technology should be both diverse and connected – not fragmented. Are you leading the charge on identity management, mitigating the risks of fragmented security, and doing all that you can to protect student data? We want to connect with you. 👋 Meet our leadership team—Chief Product Officer Jamie Reffell, VP of Sales Dominic Via, and Head of National Education Partnerships Jeff Carlson—at the Homecoming Reception on Monday, November 3. We're eager to drive meaningful change in education, together.

  • Fragmented data systems don’t just create burdens on edtech engineering teams, they create friction for the people you serve: educators, students, and your own developers. The complexity of integrations shouldn't be the biggest blocker to a great user experience. We need to simplify it, modernize data exchange, and finally deliver the access that schools have been promised. Erin Mote, CEO and Co-Founder of InnovateEDU, cuts right to the heart of the issue: "If you're not an edtech company who's on top of the secure and seamless exchange of data across systems, not only are you NOT a modern data system, you're NOT delivering on the promise of integrations and interoperability in our community." We are committed to being your strategic partner in making this future a reality. Our goal is simple: to make integrations effortless so great edtech can scale faster and your teams can focus on their core mission. Imagine your ideal integration future. Let's build it together. #EdTech #EdTechStrategy #K12 #ProductDevelopment #InnovateEDU

Passwords Must Go: The Future of Authentication in K-12 on October 28th at 1:00PM ET! Join us alongside Clever Inc. for an event that brings together cybersecurity leaders and district technology executives for a candid, leadership-level debate. Together, they’ll examine which password practices are essential, which ones are slowing progress, and how to chart a realistic path toward a future of flexible yet secure authentication. In this session, join we’ll explore how to: ✅ Separate compliance “checkboxes” from risk-based password policies that actually reduce exposure. ✅ Apply NIST-aligned best practices with practical classroom management in mind—because managing passwords with young students isn’t always simple. ✅ Implement MFA and passphrase strategies that work in complex K-12 environments. ✅ Build a 3–5-year roadmap to build a future of flexible yet secure authentication. Featured Speakers: Mark Racine, Co-Founder, RootED Solutions & former CIO, Boston Public Schools Sriram Seshadri, Head of Security, Clever Hosted by Douglas Levin, National Director, K12 SIX ✏ Register here: https://lnkd.in/g9aYzWKc #k12 #Edtech #Education #Cybersecurity

  • The message from Ohio district leaders at EdTech Leaders Alliance (ETLA) 2025 was clear: Protecting student digital identity can't wait. We heard the urgent need for better security, especially as only 5% of students are protected by MFA. But traditional security often conflicts with classroom reality—relying on personal devices that are increasingly restricted by cell phone policies. The constant message we heard from Midwest leaders: Security must be simple, device-free, and classroom-friendly. That's why we’re seeing so much excitement for Clever Classroom MFA! Our age-appropriate, device-free authentication methods are ready to fill the security gap without slowing down learning. Big thanks to all the Ohio leaders, especially those who chatted with Karina Osorio and Becky George! We’re excited to help you make security foundational, not frustrating.

  • What does modernization look like in your K-12 schools? According Julia Fallon (SETDA) you should be asking: - How are we redesigning systems to ensure tools can communicate with each other? - How is our policy and procurement evolving to reward interoperability, accessibility, and impact? Read Julia's op-ed on why the time for K-12 modernization is now: https://lnkd.in/ggXBQ8RW

Technology and learning alchemist. Friday night DJ. Executive Director, @SETDA.

Everyone’s talking about innovation. But few are talking about modernization. At #EdTechWeek, the throughline was clear: the next big leap for K-12 isn’t about more tools, it’s about the systems and relationships that make technology actually work for learning. In my latest SmartBrief op-ed, I share why modernization is the essential next phase of digital transformation—one that connects people, data, and purpose. 👉 The time is now for K-12’s “Great Modernization”: https://lnkd.in/ghcuBUUZ #K12Education #DigitalEquity #EdTechLeadership #EdTech #SETDA
