    We have partnered with DXC Technology led by the major Ricardo Ferreira to bring agency systems to production in Latin America. The Startups article came out Friday. Here's the TL; DR: The problem is known. Building an agent in demo is the quick part.     Ben Horowitz makes a point in The Hard Thing About Hard Things that stuck with me: if you only share the good news, people stop trusting you. So this series comes with both. The question I hear most from customers right now: My voice agent works, but its expensive. Can I do the same for less, without losing quality? So we measured. We put our voice agent stack up against the configuration ElevenLabs chose for a public benchmark. A clinic scheduling agent in Brazilian Portuguese. Same prompt, same 5 tools, same caller audio, 20 scenarios × 3 runs. CrewAI Conversational Flow + Gemini Live (Vertex AI) vs ElevenLabs Agents. The good news: - Tasks completed: 57/60 on both. - pass (every run of a scenario passes): 18/20 on both. - Cost per resolved conversation: $0.039 vs $0.151. About a quarter. - Even adding a managed media layer on our side: still 3.0× apart. - Callers cut off by the agent: zero, on both. The bad news: we didnt win everything. To our ears, their voice still sounds a little better than Gemini, and we still have short pauses mid-answer that they dont. By the numbers: 440 calls, 8.7 hours of conversation, 1,353 real Conversational Flow turns, 6.8M tokens measured, 240 quality judgments. Tomorrow: what we fixed, one lead bullet at a time.     Jev for building agentic systems goes hand in hand. What we see enterprise deploy and survive production are agentic systems that balances both determinism and agency(reasoning, intelligence, agents). And sometimes you might need an model such as an LLM or now jev to be that intelligent router based on a user intent messages. We see this parallel across many back office automation use cases from customer support, compliance, consumer goods, you name it... With CrewAI this agentic system is built on top of an architecture called flows. Where jev fits is how each message passed in is classified based on its intent, and that intent dictates the next action. It's significantly faster and cheaper than the frontier models.     Demorei pra postar, mas por um bom motivo: saí do nosso Executive Briefing Center direto pra Dallas, depois um Hackathon incrível em St. Louis com a AB InBev e quase fui parar na Índia. Agora sim rs. O EBC de 9 a 11 de setembro foi sensacional, em São Francisco o epicentro da inovação. Reunimos lideranças de Safra, Copastur Viagens e Turismo , Highline, Softplan, Mastercard, iFood pra uma conversa de alto nível sobre estratégia e visão de futuro em AI, e sobre como a CrewAI está se posicionando como a plataforma de orquestração de agentes que leva IA multiagente de piloto pra produção. Mas, como de costume, o melhor foi a troca. Ouvir como cada empresa está pensando agentes na prática, com os desafios reais na mesa, é o que faz esse formato valer.
