Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) plays a crucial role in regulating cortisol, a vital hormone for our body's response to stress, metabolism, and immune function. For individuals living with classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), ACTH levels are elevated relative to non-CAH individuals, increasing the risk of significant health consequences.
