Hard to believe Crowd Supply Teardown 2025 is less than one month away. They just posted the schedule and this looks like another great year. They have lined up three great keynote speakers: Cory Doctorow - author, journalist, activist Kate Stewart - Zephyr Project, Linux Foundation Andrew "bunnie" Huang - hardware hacker, author Altera is a proud sponsor once again. This year, in addition to a workshop, we will also be demonstrating the power of FPGAs to emulate retro hardware by running MiSTer FPGA on the Cyclone V based Terasic DE10-Nano board. Stop by to experience some old school games and check out some of the projects from the Altera Innovation Lab. If you can make it to Portland June 20-22, I highly recommend this event. Hope to see you there. https://lnkd.in/gDEDJfNB

Ever imagined controlling something on your laptop screen with your mind? That’s right! No mouse, no keyboard, just pure focus. We’ve made it possible using Neuro PlayGround (NPG) Lite, our upcoming ESP32-C6 based 3-channel wireless biopotential signal acquisition board designed to record EEG, EMG, ECG, and EOG signals. This demo showcases a brain-computer interface (BCI) application that utilizes EEG (electroencephalography) signals to operate an interactive bubble-popping game in a web browser. The system identifies beta wave activity (12–30 Hz), indicating concentration and attention levels. Bubbles appear and pop as the user maintains focus, but they cease to pop when concentration decreases. This project highlights the potential of NPG Lite, which features: ✅ 3-channel highly integrated BioAmp ✅ User LED + 6 addressable LEDs ✅ User button and Boot button ✅ USB-C for charging & programming ✅ ESD protection for USB and electrodes ✅ ESP32-C6 for Serial, Wi-Fi, BLE, Thread, and Zigbee NPG Lite will be launching soon on Crowd Supply. Subscribe on the pre-launch page to stay in the loop with all the updates. https://lnkd.in/g9SDaYPQ Project Credits: Ritika Mishra Espressif Systems #UpsideDownLabs #Neuroscience #Neurotech #BCI #EEG

I'm on my way to the UK for the Open Hardware Summit. I'll be hosting Hardware Happy Hours in London (Cat & Mutton, Weds 28th) and Edinburgh (Old Bell Inn, Thurs 29th) and I'd love to see some familiar faces. There will be lots of food and some drinks on offer in London thanks to Hackaday and Crowd Supply. There should be some interesting people at both events, including Alex Glow from Hackster.io, Rehana Al-Soltane, Sera Evcimen and several music tech folks. Bring a hack to show off or just bring yourself. Come join us and please share: the more the merrier! Links with more details in the comments.
