  • Who doesn’t love a library? A pooled library, that is! These sets of mostly-matching plasmids enable a wide variety of high-throughput experiments. Addgene’s collection includes: -Barcoding libraries: uniquely identify cells and trace their lineage -CRISPR libraries: knock out, activate, or inhibit different genes across a population -Screening libraries: large collections of genes for tons of experimental purposes -Surface display libraries: screen molecules for binding activity Addgene offers a wealth of resources for using the pooled libraries we offer. New to pooled libraries? Our latest blog post will give you a brief overview of Addgene’s most popular libraries and their applications. Ready to browse? Addgene has a freshly updated Pooled Libraries Collection Page detailing the 390 (and counting!) libraries we offer. This page explains the experimental approaches enabled by different libraries and can create filtered lists according to your library preferences. Looking for more details? The Guide to Plasmid Pooled Libraries has tips on amplification, use, and screen design using pooled libraries. Time to get started? Addgene’s CRISPR Library Amplification Protocol offers general instructions and troubleshooting tips. Thanks to all of our pooled library depositors for sharing these incredible tools with the world! Happy screening! All links in comments!

  • Happening today at #SfN25! 🧠 Experts from the Institute for Protein Innovation (IPI) are in the Addgene booth (#3625) from 11–3 for office hours — ready to talk about antibodies, share insights, and hear what tools you need next for your neuroscience research. Stop by to learn more about new recombinant antibodies for glypicans, neurexins, and neuroligins, and how we’re expanding access to reliable antibody tools through our collaboration with IPI. Let’s keep building better tools for brain research, together. 💙
