The other week, we pitched Stag at Afore's demo day. 3 minutes to explain why commercial real estate is still doing underwriting like it's 1995. What they didn't see: Adam and I neck-deep in rent rolls, T-12s, and OMs, building AI that actually understands institutional workflows. I’ve been in SF for a couple days at the Afore Capital scout retreat. After my first month at Stanford, I finally have some time to reflect on the past few months and how I got here. What a wild summer: 🏆 5x Hackathon Wins 💼 Interned @ EstateParrot (AI for Real Estate) 🔬 Research @ Stanford (PinCS Lab) 🚀 Started scouting Afore Capital 🤖 Founded the Stanford Chapter of The AI Collective 🌍 Grew @shrish_is to 1.5K+ followers and 1M+ views across platforms Met some of the coolest people (founders, VCs, CEOs, cracked engineers) and got a lot more technical (can actually code without Cursor now). As weird as startup culture can be, I’ve come to love it. Everyone’s dreaming big, building fast, and taking wild bets, and that’s contagious.
