Since its establishment, Army Futures Command has led the transformation of the US Army, turning warfighting concepts into war-winning capabilities at speed and scale. Through cross-functional teams that united scientists, operators, acquisition experts, logisticians, and industry partners, AFC closed the gap between requirements and delivery, accelerating innovation across the force. Over the past seven years, AFC has delivered or fast-tracked 10 breakthrough capabilities, including: • Next Generation Command and Control • Next Generation Squad Weapon • Precision Strike Missile • Directed Energy – MSHORAD • IBCT, HBCT, and EN robotics platoons • Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle • Integrated Battle Command Systems • Assured Precision Navigation – MAPS/DAPS • Integrated Fires Protection Capability • Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor As the lead for the Chief of Staff of the Army’s Continuous Transformation focus area, AFC ensured the Army remains dominant across three time horizons: • Transformation in Contact: rapid prototyping and tech integration • Deliberate Transformation: scalable modernization through strategic processes • Concept-Driven Transformation: long-term innovation through experimentation and wargaming. From concept to combat, AFC shaped the future force delivering decisive readiness for the challenges ahead.
