  • Introducing our newest member of our Board of Directors, Bob Kelly. Mr. Kelly is a Professional Geoscientist, with over 40 years of comprehensive mining senior management experience. Starting as an exploration geologist in Western Canada, Mr. Kelly led an expansive career that includes 21 years rising through the ranks at the Iron Ore Company of Canada, holding the positions of Voisey’s Bay Nickel Company's Assistant to the President and Construction Manager before moving to Teck Resources Ltd. There he served as General Manager of Teck’s Duck Pond Mine in central Newfoundland advancing to the position of Vice President where he was responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety Leadership across Teck’s various operating sites, projects, exploration and office locations. Mr. Kelly has served as President of the Canadian Institute of Mining – Newfoundland Branch and as a Director of Mining Newfoundland and Labrador. We are happy to welcome Mr. Kelly as a Director of Atlas Salt with his wealth of knowledge and experience in the mining industry.

  • Atlas Salt Inc. is pleased to announce the successful completion of the geotechnical drilling and in-field data collection phase for the Great Atlantic Salt Project. "Completing the field portion of our Geotechnical Drilling and Investigation Program on schedule is a major achievement for the Great Atlantic Salt Project," said Robert Booth, Vice President of Construction & Engineering for Atlas Salt, "The data we've collected will help us make informed decisions that reduce risk, and enhance both safety and cost efficiency as we move toward construction."   • Atlas Salt is pleased to announce that it has secured a CAD $1 million loan from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA - APECA) under the Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI) program. The funding will support the Company’s innovative Mine Design and Optimization Initiative, which focuses on reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and implementing sustainable mining technologies at the Great Atlantic Salt Project. This aligns with Canada’s commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth and resource development in Atlantic Canada. “This initiative is not just about innovation, it’s about building a stronger, more sustainable future for Newfoundland and Labrador.
