Georgia Tech Research Institute and AV built a new digital antenna that can track multiple hypersonic test signals at once—on land or in the air. A big leap for Pentagon flight testing tech. “We’re combining RF-efficient aperture design with an intelligently-selected RF front-end that goes directly to digital so that when they’re tracking these telemetry streams, they can track multiple streams simultaneously. In earlier analog systems, you’d have to just pick a stream or split the array (or multiple arrays) and lose signal gain. But with digital, you can track as many streams as you want, limited only by the system’s processing power.” –Kevin Cook https://lnkd.in/ensdEdvJ

AV is ensuring warfighters #OwnTheMission with AV_Halo Command, now seamlessly integrated with JAUS-compliant assets, thanks to a new partnership with OpenJAUS. "By unifying control across platforms and payloads, AV_Halo Command drastically reduces training time and complexity—allowing operators to focus on outcomes, not interfaces. It’s about giving the warfighter a common language for every system they touch, and ensuring every mission starts at full effectiveness.” -- Scott Bowman, CTO at AV.

"In defense, AI is about responsibility. Systems must be reliable, explainable, and resilient because lives and missions depend on them." - Zarinah Casanova, the AI Lead for AV's Innovation Center, answers three high-priority questions we are working to address every day in her latest piece. 1. How can cutting-edge AI innovations be harnessed to make timely and impactful decisions? 2. In the next five years, how far can we push AI at the edge—running on drones, satellites, or sensors in contested environments? 3. How do we ensure that Autonomous AI systems behave as expected and remain responsible in critical scenarios? Read Zarinah's take → https://lnkd.in/eHDnmqPm
