AI Control Plane for Apache Cassandra® & Kafka®

About us

AxonOps is the AI Control Plane for Apache Cassandra and Apache Kafka. Built by engineers who have operated large-scale data platforms in production, AxonOps brings monitoring, operations, and intelligent automation into a single system. It replaces fragmented tooling with a unified platform that understands how Cassandra and Kafka actually behave. AxonOps combines deep observability with AI-driven operational insight, helping teams move from reactive monitoring to proactive control. Cassandra and Kafka observability: High-resolution metrics with flexible, context-aware dashboards Alerting and service checks aligned to real system behaviour Integrated logs with direct correlation to metrics and events Cassandra operations: Enterprise-grade backup and restore, including Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR) Adaptive repair automation based on cluster state nodetool orchestration and scheduling Kafka operations: Topic lifecycle and configuration management Access Control List (ACL) management and governance AxonOps is evolving beyond monitoring and automation into a true control plane. The platform continuously analyses system behaviour, surfaces insights, and enables operators to act with confidence. Our roadmap expands support across open source data platforms, with a clear direction: one control plane to monitor, operate, and optimise your entire data layer.

That’s a wrap at Current London 2026. Thank you to the many attendees who spent time with AxonOps learning about how our AI-powered Kafka control plane can cut RCA from hours to minutes. The response was better than we could have hoped for and the team here walks away tired but energised. Big thanks to Karl Sorensen, Steve Benton and Hayato Shimizu for their tireless efforts throughout the show. Finally thank you to Jack Schlabach and the Confluent team for their support and putting on such a great show.

AxonOps and digitalis.io got together again in Krakow last week, and what a change since our last team meeting 12+ months ago! You guessed it, AI - this may start to be getting 🥱 but wow, the productivity and creativity released in the last 6 months is simply astounding. Thanks to the whole team for their contribution to the two days and particularly the Hackathon. When you put a bunch of smart domain experts together in a room with Claude in their hands, amazing things can happen. The completeness and readiness of the prototypes presented after just 6 hours were astounding. Maybe the best example is the updated AI-powered docs and QA workflows which now goes live this week. Over dinner on the last night there was a sense that something fundamentally changed during the last two days, with the Hackathon being the ultimate representation of this. Hayato Shimizu summed it up best - he called it a 100%, no arguments realisation that in the last 6 months this team has arrived at a no exceptions acceptance that this is the new way of working, and there is no going back. Is there some anxiety about the change - yes, but for me disruption becomes the opportunity to shine, and wow it really gets the heart racing and the blood flowing.
