Some 30 years ago, I walked through the doors of Bosch for the very first time. Trainee badge, fresh PhD, no idea how much this company would shape me. I spent nearly two decades away. Built companies, advised others. All of it taught me something. But Bosch stayed with me. In 2018, I returned. Because I believed, and still believe, that few companies have what Bosch has: the technology, the people, the independence, and the obligation that comes with 140 years of history. That obligation is what the role of the Bosch CEO, my new role, is really about. Robert Bosch built this company for the long term. Our unique ownership structure, backed by a non-profit foundation, gives us a distinct advantage. It demands financial discipline and strong performance, while giving us something rare in return: the freedom to think in decades, not quarters. We invest our profits back into our technology and our people – building for the long term. That is a privilege, and a profound responsibility. Bosch has extraordinary strengths. But the world it operates in is moving faster than ever before. Geopolitical shifts, artificial intelligence, new competitors. Bosch has always met moments like this in the same way: when others hesitate, we take the lead. I believe we can move faster, decide better, and build a Bosch that is strong enough to offer the next generation what this company offered me. My job is to make sure we do. I look forward to sharing that journey.

🥨 The smell of freshly baked pretzels in the air. The clink of glasses as people toast. Tents draped in blue-and-white diamond patterns. That's the scenery of the biggest traditional festival in the world, held every year in early fall in Bavaria, Germany. With today's recipe, you can get a little piece of this festive spirit into your home – no matter where you are on the globe. 🌍 And thanks to our Kitchen Machine 8, this warm and soft pastry is ready in no time. Here's everything you need for your own, homemade pretzel. Ingredients: • 1 cup water and 1 cup milk • 1 packet active dry yeast • 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp sugar • 50g butter • Flour as needed • 1 tbsp baking soda with 1 L water • Coarse salt (or pretzel salt) Instructions: 1. Mix water, milk, active dry yeast, salt, and sugar. 2. Gradually add the flour and knead until smooth. Add the butter and continue kneading with your Bosch Kitchen Machine Series 8 until the dough is soft and elastic. 3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until it has visibly increased in size. 4. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each piece into a long rope. Keep the middle section thicker and the ends thinner. Twist the ends and press them onto the bottom of the loop to form a classic pretzel shape. 5. In a pot, bring 1 liter of water and 1 tablespoon of baking soda to a boil. Submerge each pretzel briefly into the gently boiling water. Remove, drain, and place onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. 6. Sprinkle the pretzels with coarse salt. Make a shallow cut along the thickest part of each pretzel. Bake at 200°C until golden brown Enjoy! 😋🥨

To develop technology for two-wheeled vehicles, you have to understand what it feels like to ride one. 🏍️ Across the first five episodes of #BeyondTheRide, Bosch India has followed riders as they head out on open roads, chase new challenges, and share the journey with the people who matter most to them. When our technology does its job quietly in the background, it lets riders focus on the feeling of the ride, like leaning into a curve or feeling the wind on their faces. 🛣️🍃 Here is a look back at the moments that made the first half of the series so special. "It is character and ability that matter, not background." 💡 This year marks a special double anniversary for us: 140 years since our company was founded, and today, the 165th birthday of our founder, Robert Bosch. 🎉 From the very beginning in 1886, Robert Bosch viewed entrepreneurial success as closely intertwined with social responsibility – putting education and equal opportunity at the heart of his actions. From establishing dedicated apprentice workshops in 1913 to providing scholarships for talented young people facing hardship, Robert Bosch firmly believed that education is the ultimate foundation for personal freedom, democracy, and social progress. 140 years later, this legacy remains our guiding compass – through continuous upskilling at the Bosch Learning Company and the impactful educational initiatives of the Robert Bosch Stiftung worldwide.
