Last Sunday, we had an amazing time celebrating and honouring our Community Heroes with Abbotsford Canucks 💙 These heroes, who were nominated for their contributions and volunteerism in the Abbotsford community, came out and had a blast cheering the team on! BCLC also teamed up with the Abbotsford Canucks and Abby Canucks fans to award $2,000 to Foundry, Purple Lights Nights Committee and Abbotsford Hospice & Grief Support Society, organizations that a few of our heroes work closely with. Thanks to the Abbotsford Canucks and our Community Heroes for making this a memorable day!

BCLC is the Province's gambling and entertainment company, whose funds generated through healthy play, go back to B.C.
About us
For 35 years, BCLC has been delivering exceptional entertainment to British Columbians by managing casino, lottery, bingo and sports betting. Thanks to our players, we’ve generated $28 billion for the Province of B.C. to support essential services such as healthcare, education and community programs. Our employees are in on the action too! Overall, BCLC staff spent more than 3,830 hours volunteering for local charities. Our employee-giving committees continue to organize events, silent auctions and draws to fundraise for important local causes selected by our people. We want everyone to enjoy gambling—and that means understanding how to play in a healthy way. We provide educational resources on how gambling works, and we help find support for those who need it.

Big things continue to happen at our B.C. casinos – and we’re talking wall-to-wall big. Last month, along with our incredible partners at Parq Casino and Chances Casino Kelowna, we opened our brand new PROLINE Sportsbook Lounges, firsts of their kind in B.C. If there is one word I could use to describe these lounges, it’s epic. Wall-to-wall screens provide an incredible viewing experience – complete with an “it’s like you're there” adrenaline rush. And here’s the cool part: The fun is just getting started. We have more amazing sportsbook lounge events planned, and more sportsbook lounges coming to B.C. It’s all part of BCLC’s goal to create immersive and exciting sports-betting experiences to our valued B.C. players. Speaking of which, Parq is hosting the grand opening event this Saturday on March 22 coinciding with an incredible March Madness experience. Everything from arcade basketball tournaments, bingo, and prizes – including an absolutely incredible chance to win a trip for two to San Antonio for the NCAA March Madness semi-finals. Let’s go!

A few months ago, BCLC recognized our long-term employees for their continued dedication and commitment through our career milestone event! We gathered 95 employees from across the organization in Vancouver and Kamloops for an off-site luncheon, celebrating career milestones of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years. ❤️ Milestones like these are more than just a mark of time; they reflect the hard work and passion our people bring to their roles every day. Thank you to all of these employees for being an integral part of our journey and congratulations on celebrating your career milestone with BCLC!

Check out this awesome article from Dan Beebe, sharing his thoughts on our unique Scratch & Win ticket, Concert of a Lifetime.
When BCLC launched its Scratch & Win ticket Concert of a Lifetime, we were excited to offer a unique, first of its kind in B.C. Grand Prize – the chance to win a VIP suite at BC Place for the most successful concert tour in history. I’m extremely proud of the work that went into making this ticket come to life and we’re excited to continue to bring people together through new, innovative and experiential products and games. BCLC had the pleasure of partnering with two organizations this month, the Valid Dreams Foundation and the Africans in Okanagan, to sponsor their events celebrating Black History Month! Both events were nothing short of incredible – vibrant celebrations of Black excellence, culture, and community. From powerful performances to a stunning fashion show, the events showcased the richness of Black arts, music, and heritage. Attendees connected through storytelling, dance, and inspiring conversations, fostering new relationships and deepening a sense of belonging. These events rounded out a month of joy, resilience, and cultural pride, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who took part.

We look good in pink! On February 26, employees from our Kamloops and Vancouver offices wore pink in honour of #PinkShirtDay. At BCLC, we believe in creating an inclusive and respectful work environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and heard. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion extends beyond our office walls and into the communities we serve. Together, we can make a difference.
