Opentensor Foundation

Software Development

Incentivizing intelligence.

About us

Bittensor is a mining network, similar to Bitcoin, that includes built-in incentives designed to encourage miners to contribute compute + knowledge. Token-based incentives drive the network's growth and distribute the value generated by the network directly to the individuals producing that value, without intermediaries. The network is open to all participants, and no individual or group has full control over what is learned, who can profit from it, or who can access it. Ultimately, our vision is to create a pure market for artificial intelligence, an incentivized arena in which consumers and producers of this valuable commodity can interact in a trustless, open and transparent context.

Kimi K2.6 by @Kimi_Moonshot is now live on Chutes. Moonshot's new 1T parameter flagship scored 54.0 on HLE-Full with tools, ahead of GPT-5.4 (52.1), Claude Opus 4.6 (53.0), and Gemini 3.1 Pro (51.4). This matters. For months the closed frontier has owned the agentic leaderboard. Today, a model you can download just overtook it. Modified MIT license. Weights live on Hugging Face. It also leads on: - SWE-Bench Pro: 58.6 (ahead of GPT-5.4, Claude Opus 4.6, and Gemini 3.1 Pro) - DeepSearchQA f1: 92.5 (next closest is Claude at 91.3) - BrowseComp with Agent Swarm: 86.3 (up from K2.5's 78.4) - Claw Eval pass@3: 80.9 (ahead of GPT-5.4's 78.4) Past the scores, the bigger shift. K2.6 scales Agent Swarm to 300 sub-agents running 4,000 coordinated steps in a single autonomous run. Hand it a task and it decomposes the work across specialized subagents, runs them in parallel, and returns full outputs without looping a human in between. On Chutes, it runs inside a TEE. Trusted Execution Environments give K2.6 a hardware-level privacy layer. The GPU operators serving the model can't see your prompts or outputs. Confidential compute on a decentralized GPU network. $0.95 input / $4.00 output per million tokens. Link in comments.

🏆 Incredibly proud of how far we’ve come! I remember when we were pushing in a direction we thought was right, but having the humility to reach out to the Opentensor Foundation team and ask what the network actually needs changed everything. That pivot led us to Proven, and seeing Theo Justin Amantha and Roderich Cavine Chow execute on that vision with such intensity has been the highlight of this journey. We’ve moved from a "what if" to a #1 ranking, but we’re just getting started. Stay tuned, because Proven is about to redefine software verification.

Big news for Proven. 🎉 We just received $10K+ in funding from Basilica and OpenTensor and took 1st place for Best Innovative Idea on the Bittensor chain. A few months ago, this was just a question: what if software QA didn't have to be centralized? Today, Proven is a live decentralized QA automation system running on Bittensor Subnet 22 where anyone can submit their website, generate end to end test scenarios, and have them executed by a network of incentivized miners. To this day, we will still develop this project to be a better use for the market. What this funding means for us: → Growing the subnet and miner network → Expanding automated test coverage → Building toward truly trustless software verification None of this happens without my incredible teammates Roderich Cavine Chow and Christopher Hardy Gunawan. From late nights debugging, last minute pitchdeck edits, to watching it go live and funded. Cheers 🎉

We think you should know exactly who's shipping your inference. No CEO. No board. No single person who can shut anything down. Ten contributors. A smart contract that pays staking rewards to team members. No one controls the money, the code, or the direction alone. Jon Durbin, Backend. Florian, Backend + Research. Built Chutes Search. Kyle, Backend. Built our TEE infrastructure. Sirouk (Chris), Backend. Performance and growth. Veight (Vince), Frontend. Everything you see on chutes.ai. Algowary (Timon), Sales & Customer Success. Fezicles, Marketing & Community. Rykorb, Technical Staff. Cxmplex, Backend. Vonkaiser, Technical Staff. 100 billion+ tokens a day. One of the largest open source inference platforms in the world. A team that fits in a single video call. Now you know. X handles in the comments.

Last week, the Manifold team traveled to San Francisco for Bittensor Commons, where we connected with industry leaders and learned about the latest innovations across the ecosystem. The conference also provided a moment for us to look back at the last year and the milestones we’ve passed with Targon.com, including our Series A, collaborations with Nvidia and Intel, and the latest on what’s to come from Targon. A huge thank you to Bittensor Commons and the entire Bittensor community for your continued support over the years! Hope to see you all again soon in Paris for Proof of Talk!

You charge $15/mo for your AI app. Your average user costs you $2 in inference. Your power user costs you $12. You've got three bad options and one that changes the math entirely. Cap usage. Power users hit the wall mid-task and churn. Charge per token. Users get bill anxiety and stop using the product. Or let users bring their own compute budget. Sign in with Chutes lets your users authenticate with their Chutes account. Your app calls a model. Their account covers the inference cost. You set your price based on what your product is worth to customers, independent of how many tokens they burn. And every user who signs up through your app creates a Chutes account on our side. You grow your user base. We grow ours. SDK with setup wizard: https://lnkd.in/eKtjq5jS https://lnkd.in/eciCdzbe
