The hardest part of building a product has never been building it. It's staying close enough to real users that you're solving the right problem in the first place. Tonight at Startuplab, Greger Wedel and Gautam Chandna will argue about what happens when AI makes building nearly free. The thesis: when the cost of building approaches zero, what remains (maybe the only true differentiator?) is deep understanding of the problem you're solving. The product opportunities that survive this shift cluster around two types: highly specific, high-value problems, and complex domain-heavy workflows where users can't build their own way out. In both cases, closeness to the user is the moat. We're at full capacity tonight at Ripple, but follow along.
