THE CHALLENGE Create a sub-brand, Volfas-Engelman ICE, that appeals to younger consumers through product innovation and a refreshed brand image. THE SOLUTION The design remains true to the Volfas-Engelman aesthetic, balancing tradition with modernity. Innovative printing techniques were introduced, including therm graphic inks. SANTANA A rum that is 100% Indonesian — from the locally grown sugar cane to the distillation process. Santana, which translates to “ocean” in Javanese, brings to life the maritime origins of rum. THE CHALLENGE Create a brand for a premium Indonesian rum with a ‘tropical and maritime theme’, including the design of a bespoke bottle structure, brand identity, and label. THE SOLUTION A classic maritime scene was illustrated, featuring a Javanese djong ship sailing in the Bali Sea, with the iconic volcanic mountains in the background. The label is framed with foliage to evoke an exotic tropical vibe. SIREN From Greek mythology, a siren is a malevolent mermaid who lures sailors to their destruction with the sweetness of her song. THE CHALLENGE Create a brand and packaging to compete in the sweet vodka segment for the Indonesian market under the name “Siren.” THE SOLUTION A label full of mystery and discovery was created. Elegant decorative elements, inspired by the depths of the ocean where the Siren dwells, adorn the label. A strong brand icon was crafted, depicting the Siren’s head as she emerges from the depths. YEO’S CNY Yeo’s is a much-loved, iconic Singaporean brand deeply ingrained in the local culture. It is famous for its chrysanthemum tea, enjoyed by people of all ages. THE CHALLENGE Create limited edition packaging for Yeo’s chrysanthemum tea to celebrate Chinese New Year. The packaging must stand out from the typical sea of price promotions and red clutter dominating supermarket shelves. THE SOLUTION A cute and playful Fortune Cat character was created—a vibrant symbol of prosperity and luck—to usher in good fortune for the New Year. The cat was illustrated in three different poses, each interacting with an auspicious element in a fun and uplifting way.
