As Solana staking continues to evolve, Blockdaemon is helping institutional stakers understand the protocol, infrastructure, and market-structure developments that may shape validator economics and long-term PRR. In our latest Solana staking series, we cover three topics institutional teams should understand: SIMD-123: How proposed block reward distribution could create a protocol-native path for validators to share block rewards with delegators. Alpenglow: How Solana’s proposed consensus upgrade may affect validator voting, finality, and validator-level cost accounting. JitoBAM: How block-building infrastructure may influence transaction ordering, validator-level reward opportunities, and transparency around reward generation. Together, these topics provide a clearer view of the factors behind institutional staking outcomes, from reward composition and validator infrastructure to commission policy and operational transparency. Ethereum’s upcoming Glamsterdam update is expected to introduce changes to ETH staking, including enshrined proposer-builder separation, Block-Level Access Lists, state growth pricing, and potential changes to exit and consolidation churn. For institutions, Glamsterdam may influence staking reward variability, MEV access, validator reliability, liquidity planning, and how execution-layer rewards are labelled and reconciled after ePBS. Blockdaemon’s latest blogs break down what institutional stakers need to know and how teams can prepare their reward reporting systems as Ethereum’s proposer-builder market becomes more protocol-native. Blockdaemon’s April 2026 Ethereum PRR Report Is Live. Ethereum staking activity strengthened in April as on-chain activity increased across DeFi and tokenized asset settlement, supporting stronger execution-layer conditions and continued validator demand. In April, Blockdaemon’s Ethereum validator fleet delivered a 2.89% Protocol Reward Rate (PRR) versus the ~2.84% network average, ranking #1 among institutional staking providers and outperforming the network by approximately 5 basis points. Outperformance was supported by consistent uptime, stable validator operations, and continued execution-layer optimization. This month’s report covers: 1. Validator demand, with approximately 38 million ETH staked, representing roughly 32% of total supply 2. Execution-layer and MEV growth, including 10.5% month-over-month reward growth 3. Blockdaemon’s PRR performance relative to the network average 4. Protocol roadmap updates, including Glamsterdam’s ePBS and Block-Level Access Lists 5. Institutional staking-enabled ETF momentum, including $356 million in April net inflows 6. Corporate digital asset treasury activity, including increased ETH accumulation and staking participation Download the full April 2026 Ethereum Validators Performance Report: https://hubs.li/Q04gcQZJ0

‘The important part for DeFi is that security has to be systematic and on-chain. It needs to be part of the product.’ During Consensus 2026, Blockdaemon’s CEO and Founder Konstantin Richter explains why DeFi security needs to be systematic and on-chain. For institutions, security cannot rely on individual rules or manual enforcement. It needs to be built into the product, with clearer controls across complex networks and fewer third-party risk points. Read the full recap: https://lnkd.in/gQiJmy73

‘The data integrations and capabilities of well-wired intelligence tooling allow you to run a business 50% more efficiently than you could six months ago. That is very real.’ During Consensus 2026, Blockdaemon’s CEO and Founder Konstantin Richter shares why crypto-native companies may have a structural advantage in the AI era. With remote-first teams, strong documentation, and deep technical foundations, crypto companies are well positioned to use AI to improve how they operate. ‘If you look at the way infrastructure is evolving around finance, accounting, payments, and everything else, the entities that move assets or facilitate transactions will generate the most value. Historically, the people who held the assets made the most money. I think that is an interesting shift we are going to see.’ During Consensus 2026, Blockdaemon’s CEO and Founder Konstantin Richter why value in financial infrastructure is shifting toward the systems that move assets and facilitate transactions. As more financial activity moves on-chain, institutions need infrastructure that helps them manage risk across complex DeFi networks, liquidity pools, and transaction flows. Institutional DeFi is moving from possibility to infrastructure. At Consensus 2026, Blockdaemon Founder and CEO Konstantin Richter joined Zano Sherwani, Co-Founder of Jito Labs, Ian McAfee, CEO and Founder of Shift Markets, and Margaux Nijkerk of CoinDesk for a panel discussion on the infrastructure powering Wall Street’s growing interest in DeFi. The message was clear. Institutional adoption depends on infrastructure that is reliable, secure, controlled, and ready to integrate with existing financial systems. The panel covered reliable execution, secure wallets, governed transaction flows, tokenization, AI, and the need for stronger cooperation between institutions and builders. As Konstantin noted, the market is entering a hardening phase. Systems need to become more resilient, more secure, and more production-ready. Read the full recap https://lnkd.in/gQiJmy73
