✨ The Stories That Shape Us ✨ Last week, we had the joy of gathering for a luminary session with Colombian writer Juan Carlos Botero (author of Los Hechos Casuales) exploring how stories carry the weight (and wonder!) of our human experience. Through themes of magical realism, guilt, chance, and redemption, Juan Carlos invited us to see how language itself becomes a mirror of who we are and what we hope to become. As he shared afterward: “You never really know how these events are going to play out... But this was marvelous, and I sincerely appreciated everyone’s kind attention and the excellent questions at the end. I’m very grateful.” Thank you, Juan Carlos, for reminding us that when we tell stories, we are the ones who are transformed. This week, our Atlanta office gathered to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Light — a time that honors the triumph of good over evil, and light over darkness. We shared homemade chai, learned the meaning behind Rangoli art, and listened as Himasutha R. shared stories from her childhood — how she and her friends would create vibrant Rangoli designs to welcome light and good fortune into their homes. It was a reminder that purpose shines brightest through connection, tradition, and the beauty of shared experience.
