goose is your on-machine AI agent, capable of automating complex development tasks from start to finish. More than just code suggestions, goose can build entire projects from scratch, write and execute code, debug failures, orchestrate workflows, and interact with external APIs autonomously. Whether you're prototyping an idea, refining existing code, or managing intricate engineering pipelines, goose adapts to your workflow and executes tasks with precision. Designed for maximum flexibility, goose works with any LLM and supports multi-model configuration to optimize performance and cost, seamlessly integrates with MCP servers, and is available as both a desktop app as well as CLI - making it the ultimate AI assistant for developers who want to move faster and focus on innovation.

🌶️An AI agent runtime isn't truly open if it only works with one interface, one provider, or one cloud path. The last few releases have focused on ensuring goose is more open, more portable, and with less lock-in. New features in goose: • more support for Agent Client Protocol so clients can talk to the runtime cleanly • 9 new model providers • stronger local inference support • portable hooks for runtime-level policy The goose is getting loose. 🪿 https://lnkd.in/e-52FqKm

goose v1.37.0 just landed, and we're getting much better at fitting into the way developers actually work — across models, terminals, desktop, sessions, and agent workflows. What’s new: 🔁 Switch models mid-session in CLI with /model 🏆 Add a /goal to have goose self-evaluate before wrapping up 🪝 Hooks system - customize and control behavior around tool usage and session flow 🧐 goose review - new local code review command 🖥️ TUI improvement - terminal UI is now available through goose-cli, with a diff viewer and layout polish 🧠 More provider flexibility - new/expanded providers include xAI SuperGrok OAuth, Perplexity, Alibaba/Qwen via DashScope, Databricks AI Gateway, NEAR AI Cloud, Scaleway, Vercel AI Gateway, GitHub Copilot /responses, Atomic Chat, Routstr, FuturMix, oMLX, and more. 🧵 Better ACP support - slash commands in ACP, session system prompt setting, raw provider model exposure, image replay on session load, pagination, cwd passing, and streamable HTTP compliance 📚 Skills and orchestration upgrades CLI skill listing with token counts, dynamic skill instruction refresh, summon subagent instructions, open-plugin generalization, and scheduled recipe parameters 🌍 More language/platform support Russian, Turkish desktop locale, Simplified Chinese, Nushell completions, Linux Vulkan/local inference support, Linux musl builds, and native arm64 Linux artifact builds There are also a ton of desktop UX fixes, provider reliability improvements, chat/session polish, OAuth improvements, and bug fixes across the stack. Basically: goose got sharper, more configurable, more model-flexible, and more useful for real agentic engineering workflows. Release notes 👇 https://lnkd.in/eYGxVPYW

Open source projects do not grow because they exist. They grow because people teach them, build with them, and bring others along. 🚀 The Agentic AI Foundation Ambassador Program is now open. If you're building with Goose, MCP, or AGENTS.md, this is your chance to turn your ideas, tutorials, talks, videos, and experiments into community impact. One contribution each month. Real projects. Real builders. Applications are open now until June 12. Hear from AAIF VP of Developer Experience Angie Jones: https://bit.ly/4urQRSX
