In our quest to help domain experts build Vertical AI companies, we’ve partnered with Yogi. An IIT + Harvard grad, 𝐞𝐱-𝐉.𝐏. 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧, 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐧𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧 (US fintech / consumer credit co.) He’s now building something bold with us at gAI Ventures, Inc. - an AI intelligence layer for small-business lending. At the core of it is a powerful AI search engine which can search across structured and unstructured data (across systems, docs, files) in real-time and give answers - Meet Swik AI 🚀 Small business credit is one of the biggest pain points in financial services — broken data, slow underwriting, and fragmented systems. Yogi’s vision is to fix that by re-architecting how lenders understand risk, automate insights, and make faster, fairer credit decisions. Swik = quick ! At gAI Ventures, Inc. Vijay R. Kushal Prakash myself, our team and our backers believe that Vertical AI companies start with a domain expert who’s lived the pain. not just studied it. This is what Vertical AI looks like in action.

This model has quietly produced category leaders. And I believe we’re only at the beginning of a new wave of iconic companies being built this way. I'm always surprised that very few people know about the venture builder/venture studio model. MongoDB ($26B) | Snowflake ($60B) | Hims & Hers (Atomic) | Dollar Shave Club, Moderna… All of these came out of venture builders. really love the way some folks are educating everyone on this topic Matthew Burris Max Pog Sarah Adams Anderson JT Benton Adeo Ressi Tomasz, Paul, Andrew NG and our very own Vijay R. and Kushal Prakash What makes venture builders work?

The past 18 months have been the best of my career. 🚀 Everything in AI is super quick, breakthroughs drop almost daily, the pressure to keep up is real, and the drive to build better products never stops. That mix of urgency, curiosity, and possibility is exactly what makes me excited to get out of bed each morning. That’s been the gAI Ventures, Inc. journey so far: rocky roads, steep learning curves, and relentless problem solving, but also super fast growth. As a venture builder, we get to work on multiple AI companies, and the challenges only fuel our hunger to push harder. The truth is simple: AI is the place to be right now. And being in the thick of it feels incredible. If you’re an engineer who wants to learn at lightning speed, work with the latest AI tech, build state of the art AI products(in a research first approach). Let’s talk. DM me or Amit Goel - we're hiring and looking for engineers who share this passion for pushing boundaries. Vijay R. • In the latest episode of Build AI, we go deep into the future of AI startups, venture studios, and why traditional startup models are being disrupted. Hosted by Amit Goel and Vijay R. from gAI Ventures, Inc., this conversation unpacks how some of the biggest companies today were born out of venture builders, even though few people realize it. This is not your typical discussion on fundraising or startup hustle. This is a masterclass in startup creation at the intersection of AI, domain expertise, and venture building. #VentureCapital #VentureStudio #Startups #ArtificialIntelligence

  • In San Francisco, we brought together a group of founders, operators, and domain experts for our Founders and Builders Breakfast. The table included leaders from financial services, restaurant technology, legal, sales automation, and more. Each came with different backgrounds but a shared ambition to explore and build in AI. Three reflections stood out. First, for the first time in history, domain experts who are not technical can create technology companies. They are building AI-native products and moving at a pace we have not seen before. Second, trust, reputation, and governance are critical. Adoption of new AI products depends on the confidence of the people who choose them over the technology stacks they already know. Third, the pace of AI adoption is accelerating. Hundreds of millions of people use AI every week. Expectations are rising and products will need to improve rapidly to meet them. The opportunity is now. The toothpaste is out of the tube. Most Vertical AI cos get this balance wrong and cracks emerge much later Without domain leadership early - your GTM efforts will stall. Customers won’t trust you. You’ll miss the nuances. You’ll design for ideal workflows that don’t exist in the real world. Without tech depth and AI expertise, you’ll build slide decks, not software. Your product will be a service company in disguise, duct-taped together, and doomed to stall at scale. You need both. but you see this in less than 5% of the startups. Its hard to get. Checkout these 3 AI cos with >$1 B valuation. Read the long form Substack blog I wrote over the weekend (Link 👇 👇 ) to figure out how to find the balance!

Spoke to a bunch of founders this week as well. 5 of them said this model is amazing, different and may actually work out for us but we just didn't know about it 🫢 . "lets go ahead with your process" Made me think that Startups are about counter-bets. You go and solve a problem that nobody has solved. build innovative solutions. Startup founders mindset is a lot of out-of-the-box thinking and they don't have a herd mentality. You left a job (unlike everyone) and wanted to do this. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 startups... is to first raise money from VCs and then build/grow? Net result in current scenario - founders are waiting for VCs. And VCs are waiting for traction. That chicken-and-egg loop is slowing everything down. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐰: Founders don’t need more pitch meetings at the start. They need a partner who just starts building with them, not just bets on them. Build the product and customer traction, get to $10 MRR and then go to VCs to scale. That’s what we do at gAI Ventures. One founder responded "would be great to build together". We build with you at a fast pace. gAI ventures is a venture builder. we co-found vertical AI startups with industry experts for the US mkt and fund them till they reach early PMF.
