Legal AI prompt of the week: Turn credit agreements into compliance checklists instantly. You used to pay outside counsel $1,000+ per hour to comb through your credit agreements and create compliance checklists. Then, you waited days for a deliverable that might still miss key obligations buried in the fine print. Now, you can use AI to extract every ongoing obligation from credit agreements into organized compliance checklists in minutes. Simply upload your credit agreement and get a comprehensive breakdown of all reporting requirements, financial covenants, notice obligations, and compliance deadlines - automatically categorized by responsibility and timing. No more expensive outside counsel bills just to answer "what are our ongoing obligations under the new facility?" Legal spend: slashed ✅

Today’s panel at the Counselwell Summit sparked some great conversation on how AI is transforming legal teams - and I was glad to be part of it! I shared some of the ways I’ve incorporated it into my day-to-day and what has worked well in practice. Thank you to Taylor Robertson, Solutions Attorney at GC AI, for moderating with such clarity and thoughtfulness, and to Rohit Parekh, Senior Legal Counsel at Vena Solutions, whose perspective gave me a lot to reflect on and taught me something new in the process. Connecting with so many brilliant colleagues across the legal space was a true highlight of the day, with meaningful conversations that left me inspired and energized. As much as the conversations stood out, so did the people who made it all happen. A heartfelt thank you to Cecilia Ziniti, CEO of GC AI, for the invitation to speak. And hats off to Avi Weiss, Founder of Counselwell, and his team for organizing a summit that was incredibly well-executed, and truly one of the most memorable professional days of this year.

A sales candidate just told me what he learned selling to lawyers - 1. You can’t fake it with lawyers. They will find out. (Yes. At GC AI we are incredibly, almost to a fault, accurate in our marketing. We do not say we can do things we can’t. Trust is currency with lawyers.) 2. Lawyers are naturally curious. They want to learn. (YES. Exhibit A: We’ve had 1,000s of lawyers take our legal AI prompting classes. So proud of the profession.) 3. Highly analytical. Whatever you send a lawyer, show them, link for them, they will review or click. Little big details matter. (Yes again. Ask Mary Williams, I am super annoying about every detail in our emails to users. Even a random link in a footer needs to be correct.) 4. Extremely intelligent, with a high work ethic. (Indeed. That’s why lawyers and legal teams using AI are such a great match. They can amplify their already great work, and point AI at more things, get more done at a higher level. It’s amazing.) To the lawyers and legal folks in my feed, hats off. 🙏 PS - the candidate is getting another interview! Hope we hire them! PPS - we are growing incredibly fast, serve 900+ legal teams as customers, and we’re hiring across go-to-market, sales, engineering, operations, pretty much every role. If the above sounds fun to you, DM me. RIP my inbox.

Like weight training transformed the game of basketball, AI is giving lawyers the strength to play at a higher level. That’s how GC AI CEO Cecilia Ziniti put it at last night’s AILBA “Elevate Legal Teams with AI” panel: “It's a different game... AI is necessarily going to juice everybody up." Hosted at Harness HQ, the event brought together an incredible group of legal and technology leaders. Cecilia joined Hanna Steinbach, Audrey Kittock, Felix Hilgert, David Chen, Danielle Benecke, Nathalie Hoegger and Ji-Hyun Park, for a sharp, fast-moving conversation about how AI is reshaping in-house work, from legal operations to strategy. Cecilia on AI in legal work: "As lawyers, we're curious and nerdy. Getting the opportunity to do your job better is fun." A few legal AI use cases from the discussion: - Proxy statement reviews now take two minutes instead of sixty, with the same level of rigor. - 95% acceptance on AI-generated explanations for customer paper, reducing back-and-forth and accelerating deal flow. - Multi-jurisdictional surveys handled automatically, turning weeks of outside counsel time into minutes. Thank you to AILBA and Hanna for bringing together brilliant minds and to every panelist for showing what next-generation lawyering looks like.

In today's webinar with the Health Tech CLO group, we asked attendees if their legal team has a goal to use AI this year. 100% of responses said yes, and many said they are using AI hourly. Thank you to Ron Bell, Collective Health CLO, and Allison Hoffman, GC at Phreesia, for bringing this event together with an incredible group of legal professionals. Cecilia Ziniti, CEO and Founder, and Taylor Robertson, Solutions Attorney, taught an AI prompting class tailored to healthcare lawyers. They covered core prompting principles, demonstrated use cases live, like reviewing CA healthcare legislation, and analyzed the anatomy of a great prompt. Example: - Context: What you are providing (e.g., "Analyze this physician employment agreement"). - Instruction: What you want the AI to do (e.g., "Review for Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute compliance"). - Format: How you want the output (e.g., "Provide a risk-rated summary for executive review"). A bonus tip from Taylor, “Give the AI an out.” Instruct the AI to state "not specified" if information is missing - this prevents it from hallucinating an answer. If you're looking for more practical AI prompting tips and tricks, take one of our AI Prompting for In-House Legal classes at gc.ai/classes. Our next 101 is on Tuesday, November 4th, at 9am PT. PS - how much are you using AI for legal work?

Legal AI prompt of the week: Manage contract amendments in one click. Solutions Attorney Lindsay Smith used to spend hours sorting through documents that had been amended twice, thrice, even twelve times over the decades, all to figure out: what’s in effect still? Now, she uses AI to transform batches of documents into a crystal-clear evolution table that identifies any inconsistencies, missing documents, or other red flags. Simply upload your original agreement plus all amendments and related documents, and get a comprehensive side-by-side comparison showing exactly how each section changed over time. Time and sanity: saved ✅ Find the link to her GC AI chat below to try this prompt out yourself.
