If you were associated with us in any capacity from 2017 to now then we would love to highlight your story. Details below:
I’m starting a GirlScript Alumni Interview Series. 🎙️ As GirlScript Foundation completes 10 years in June 2027, I want to document the stories, journeys, and lessons of the people who have been part of it. Many of our community members came from small cities and underserved backgrounds, often without access to mentors, opportunities, or support. I want to hear where you started, what you’re doing today, how GirlScript impacted your journey, and the lessons you’ve learned along the way. We’ll turn these conversations into: → Alumni stories and blogs → Short, impactful videos → And eventually, a 10-year collection/book of GirlScript stories and lessons If you’ve been part of any GirlScript program, cohort, chapter, or initiative in any way, I’d love to feature your story. 📩 Email anubha@girlscript.tech with: 1. What you do today 2. How GirlScript helped you 3. A few lessons you’ve learned 4. Your availability for a 30–45 min conversation Please tag or share this with fellow GirlScript alumni. I want to collect as many stories as possible before our 10-year anniversary. 10 years. Thousands of journeys. So many lessons. Let’s document them. ❤️ #GirlScript #GirlScriptFoundation #Alumni #10YearsOfGirlScript

Here is a question that is going to bother you a little. When did you last solve a hard problem completely on your own? No AI. No Stack Overflow. No tutorial. No hint. Just you and the problem. If you had to think before answering keep reading. Because something is happening to the way developers think and almost nobody is talking about it loudly enough. We are faster than ever at finding answers. But finding answers and thinking through problems are two completely different skills. And one of them gets stronger every time you reach for AI. The other one quietly gets weaker. This Saturday, Rahul Sharma is joining GSSoC 2026 live to have the conversation that every developer in 2026 needs to have with themselves. And he might be the most qualified person to have it. 🎓 B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence — IIIT Lucknow 💼 Software Engineer @ Microsoft 🚀 Founder of TryResumeIQ building AI that helps people land jobs He studied AI. He builds AI. He ships AI products. And he has thought harder than most about what AI is doing to the way we think because he sees it from the inside. This Saturday he is bringing that perspective to GSSoC. Unfiltered. Honest. And genuinely useful. 🎙️ Rahul Sharma 📅 Saturday, 5th September 2026 ⏰ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM IST 📍 YouTube Live https://lnkd.in/dbhX9M8h 💬 Are We Becoming Better Thinkers or Just Better at Finding Answers? If this question made you pause you already know you need to be there. 🔗 Link in bio. Set your reminder. Drop your honest answer below 👇 Better thinkers or better searchers? AI in Cybersecurity. It is the most powerful defence we have ever built. And it might be the most dangerous weapon we have ever created. Both of those things are true at the same time. And that's exactly what makes this conversation so important. Let's be honest about what AI has done for cybersecurity: 🛡️ It detects threats in milliseconds that would take human analysts hours. 🛡️ It identifies patterns across billions of data points that no human team could process. 🛡️ It responds to attacks in real time faster than any attacker can adapt. 🛡️ It predicts vulnerabilities before they are exploited. 🛡️ It never sleeps, never gets tired, and never misses a log entry. AI as a shield is real. It is already saving organisations, governments, and individuals from attacks that would have been unstoppable five years ago. But here is the other side of that same coin. The exact capabilities that make AI a powerful defender speed, pattern recognition, automation, scale Make it an equally powerful weapon in the wrong hands. ⚠️ AI-generated phishing emails that are indistinguishable from real ones. ⚠️ Deepfakes that bypass biometric authentication. ⚠️ Automated vulnerability scanning that finds zero-days faster than patches can be written. ⚠️ Malware that learns, adapts, and evades detection in real time. ⚠️ Social engineering at scale personalised, convincing, and entirely AI-generated. The threat is not theoretical. It is happening right now. So where does that leave us? AI can detect the threat. AI can stop the threat. AI can become the threat. The difference is not in the technology itself. It is in who builds it, who controls it, who governs it, and who is held accountable when it goes wrong. This is not a technology problem. It is a human problem. And that means the answer is also human. The cybersecurity professionals, the developers, the open source contributors, the policymakers the people building these systems today are making choices that will determine which side of that line AI ends up on. You are one of those people. The question is not whether AI will shape cybersecurity. It already has. The question is whether the people building with it are doing so with the responsibility that a tool this powerful demands. AI can be our greatest shield. AI can be our greatest threat. The choice right now, today is ours. 💛 #GSSoC2026 #GirlScriptSummerOfCode #Cybersecurity #ArtificialIntelligence #AIInCybersecurity #TechForGood #CyberThreats #AIEthics #InfoSec #OpenSource #BuildResponsibly

Be honest. When was the last time you sat with a problem and actually thought it through before opening ChatGPT? Take a second. Think about it. Because most of us have quietly crossed a line we didn't notice crossing. We don't struggle with problems anymore. We prompt them away. And every time we do that, something small gets traded away The instinct to break a problem apart. The patience to sit with not knowing. The confidence that comes from figuring something out yourself. We're not saying AI is the enemy. It's one of the most powerful tools ever built and you should use it. But there is a difference between using AI to think better and using AI instead of thinking. One makes you sharper. The other makes you dependent. And dependent is a dangerous place to be in a world that's already moving faster than we can keep up with. The goal isn't to stop using AI. It's to make sure you can still think without it. So the next time you hit a problem give yourself 10 minutes first. Struggle with it. Sit with it. Get frustrated by it. Then ask AI. Not because the answer will be different. But because you will be. #GSSoC2026 #GirlScriptSummerOfCode #CriticalThinking #AITools #ThinkFirst #GrowAsDeveloper #DeveloperMindset #BeHonest #AIEthics #OpenSource

The question isn't whether AI is powerful. It obviously is. The question is whether you're still the one doing the thinking or whether you handed that over without noticing. Swipe through.
