Last week I announced our new open source project, Graphene. One thing I didn’t talk about much was our novel semantic layer, Graphene SQL. As some of you know, I’m a semantic layer guy. I’ve built semantic layers at Looker, Sigma, and Hex. When Grant and I set out to build Graphene, I was eager to finally have an outlet for all the ideas and lessons I had learned along the way. Graphene SQL is how we think agents (and humans!) will prefer to work with data, together. It’s designed to increase agent accuracy _and_ capability, rather than trading one for the other.
