  • Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure is proud to share that our Chief Financial Officer, Ahmar Zaman, will serve a panelist at Infra Energy Finance USA 2026 hosted by Green Street.   Ahmar will participate on the panel, "The Great Comeback: Reviving the US Renewable Manufacturing Industry," to share a developer’s perspective on the current realities of the U.S. renewable supply chain. Alongside industry peers, he will be unpacking the complex dynamics of reshoring, exploring how policy, trade restrictions, and supply chain resilience are actively shaping project financing and execution today.   If you are attending the conference, be sure to catch this timely conversation on October 13th at 3:00 PM CDT / 4:00 PM EST (Stream 1) to hear Ahmar's insights on navigating market uncertainties and getting projects built.   Will you be at Infra Energy Finance USA? • Recently, members of the GSI team attended the Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) Leadership Forum in Chicago.   Over the course of the three-day event, GSI representatives Chrysanthi Vervenioti Kritikou and Annika Shiffer-Delegard engaged in highly productive discussions centered on collaboration, leadership development, and shaping the future of the renewable energy sector.   A notable highlight of the forum was our Asset Manager, Chrysanthi Vervenioti Kritikou, taking the stage to moderate the session, 'Asset Management Fundamentals: Who Owns What and Why It Matters.' GSI is proud of her for sharing her operational expertise and guiding an insightful conversation on optimizing asset performance and advancing long-term value across renewable infrastructure.   We extend our sincere thanks to the industry leaders and peers who connected with us during the event. We look forward to continuing these valuable conversations, and explore opportunities to advance clean energy deployment together.

  • We are excited to share an update on construction progress for the Turning Sun Solar project in Southeast Saskatchewan.   Our team and EPC contractor, Barton Malow, have reached an important benchmark with the mechanical installation of the project's "Golden Row" now 100% complete. Designed to demonstrate the exact build standard for the rest of the facility, our Golden Rows features two trackers with four strings of modules on each, giving the EPC team and project partners the opportunity to review and approve the installation setup before full-scale assembly moves forward.   Completing this reference row marks a significant step in ensuring top-tier quality control across the entire site as installation scales up.   As construction continues with the collaborative efforts of all our partners, we are excited to continue driving progress for this landmark project. We look forward to keeping you updated as construction continues over the coming months.

  • On Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we reflect on the importance of acknowledging the past while looking toward a brighter, more sustainable future. This day encourages us to learn from Indigenous perspectives, honour their resilience, and recognize their lasting contributions to our communities.   At GSI, we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Ocean Man Nakoda Nation on the Turning Sun Solar project. More than delivering clean, renewable energy to the grid, this partnership reflects shared values of respect, economic self-determination, and lasting community benefit.   We will continue to listen, learn, and engage in collaborations that empower Indigenous leadership, support sustainable development, and deliver meaningful benefits to communities and the environment.

  • Our featured project for September is the Scotch Settlement, a 1.4 MW DC ground-mounted solar facility spanning 30 acres in Gouverneur, New York. In 2025, the site generated 1.5 GWh of renewable energy. Scotch Settlement reached commercial operation in December 2017 and operates under a 25-year PPA with the City of Utica, interconnected with National Grid. The project received support from NYSERDA incentives via the NY-Sun competitive PV program. As a key component of GSI’s operating portfolio, Scotch Settlement helps drive our mission to expand access to clean energy and foster a sustainable future.

  • Four members of the GSI team teed off last Thursday at Barton Malow’s 2026 Charity Golf Tournament in Georgetown, ON. As a proud gold-level sponsor, we were honoured to support this event benefiting Lifesong for Orphans Canada, while enjoying a great day on the course with partners and peers from across the construction and renewable energy industries. Barton Malow is the lead EPC contractor on GSI’s Turning Sun Solar project, a 100 MW utility-scale solar project currently under construction in southeast Saskatchewan. This event served as a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our partnership as we continue working on this flagship project. The tournament was not only a chance to give back, but also an opportunity to celebrate collaboration as we continue working toward a more sustainable future. • Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure reposted this

From Princeton to Jordan to New York, this summer has given me a lot to be grateful for. This summer, I joined Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure (GSI), a Libra Group subsidiary, as a Summer Analyst in New York. I built financial models for solar and storage projects across North America, researched renewable energy markets, and supported capital-raising efforts and asset management. Some highlights were speaking with Libra Executive Chairman George Logothetis and attending a Libra Group reception at the Mandarin Oriental. A huge thank you to the GSI and People & Culture teams for investing so much in my learning. It really takes a village, and I’m excited to stay connected! Before New York, I traded my classroom in Bobst Hall for Jordan, where I took my study of the Middle East's anthropology beyond. Supported by the Princeton Humanities Council and in collaboration with the Sijal Institute for Arabic Language and Culture, a select group of students learned through visits to organizations including the King Hussein Cancer Center and the Holy Land Institute for the Deaf. Beyond exploring Amman and its copious artifacts, we hiked Wadi Mujib, spent a night in Wadi Rum, and explored Petra. Experiencing another part of the Levant this way was particularly meaningful as a Lebanese, and I’m incredibly grateful to Professors Timothy Loh YL, PhD and Anthar Darwish Ph.D. and everyone for making Jordan unforgettable. Jordan reminded me of home. New York taught me a lot. And I’m very excited to be back at Princeton for year three! Go Tigers! 🐅
