We’re excited to share that Greystar has successfully closed on the land for Hornet Place, a new student housing community at California State University, Sacramento. Developed in partnership with University Enterprises Inc. and JLC Infrastructure, Hornet Place will bring modern, on-campus affiliated housing to the Sacramento State community, right next to Hornet Commons. The four-story community will feature 101 units and 352 beds, along with study lounges, a fitness center, outdoor gathering spaces, and 1,832 square feet of ground-floor retail designed to enhance student life. Construction is set to begin in September 2025, with leasing anticipated in August 2026 and completion expected in April 2027. We’re excited to share that Greystar has officially opened Hale Haukani, a new student housing community at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, and our first ground-up development in the state. The two-tower community brings modern housing designed for student success, complete with study lounges, amenity decks, outdoor gathering spaces, and an onsite daycare. We were honored to celebrate this milestone with Governor Josh Green and Lieutenant Governor Sylvia Luke, who highlighted how Hale Haukani will ease pressure on Honolulu’s rental market and expand housing opportunities through public-private partnerships.
