Recently, the nose gear of a Boeing 787 collapsed at a Frankfurt gate during turnaround. A gate turnaround is a few crowded minutes. Vehicles, equipment, and crew moving around a stationary aircraft, every safety check is made under real-time pressure. This is where computer vision can be of assistance. To explore how this could be addressed, we built a computer vision demo that monitors turnaround operations in real-time: - Reconstructs the nose gear in 3D from a standard camera feed - Tracks every worker and vehicle on the stand - Logs each event with a timestamp Ground crews still run the ramp, and a system like this gives them an earlier warning while there is still time to act. A single stalled bag can quickly turn into a chain of delays. On airport conveyor systems, one jam can lead to missed connections, frustrated passengers, increased operational costs, and growing pressure on staff who need to react quickly to operational bottlenecks. Yet the teams responsible for keeping baggage moving often don't see the issue until it has already started affecting operations. At DeepX, we built a computer vision system that monitors baggage flow in real time, detecting jams, pile-ups, and congestion as they occur. By analyzing camera feeds, the system alerts operators to potential disruptions early, helping teams respond before delays spread across the network. The result is more stable baggage flow and fewer operational disruptions. Built together with our partners ARBOR Technology Corp. and MemryX Inc. How many devices does your site actually need? Most industrial sites run a camera, a GPS tracker, a thermal sensor, and several other devices from different vendors, all in separate dashboards. When an incident happens, your team spends hours piecing together what actually occurred. CAMBOX PRO puts all of it into one unit: stereo cameras, GPS, thermal, compass, altimeter, accelerometer, gyroscope, and edge AI that runs on-device. Every stream is time-synced, so you get the full picture without digging through separate systems. Most retailers only check their CCTV after something goes wrong. Empty shelves were found by customers. Queues no one noticed. Shrinkage with no clear cause. Your cameras are watching but not working. DeepX turns existing CCTV into real-time shelf monitoring, queue detection, and anomaly alerts. Curious where AI fits in your operations? Last Friday, a serious incident involving Frontier Flight 4345 occurred at Denver International Airport after a person reportedly breached the airport perimeter and accessed the runway area. Video from the scene later appeared publicly online. We extend our condolences to everyone affected by this tragedy. Cases like this are a reminder that operational safety is not limited to aircraft systems alone. Restricted zones, ground movement areas, and perimeter access remain difficult to monitor consistently in real time. Modern computer vision systems are already capable of detecting unusual movement, unauthorized presence, and operational anomalies as they happen. Using motion analysis, restricted-zone alerts, and real-time object tracking, these systems can identify when a person enters a dangerous area and raise risk levels immediately. We have seen this across multiple real-world projects in safety-critical environments. Technology cannot prevent every incident, but situations like this highlight why real-time operational awareness matters and why delaying AI adoption in critical infrastructure comes with its own risks. #AviationSafety #AirportSafety #ComputerVision #OperationalSafety #GroundOperations #RealTimeMonitoring

Most airport incidents get reviewed after the fact. The footage was there. The anomalies were recorded. The delay, missed step, or unsafe movement only became apparent once someone reviewed the video. Airport operations move too fast for teams to manually monitor every stand, vehicle movement, and servicing sequence in real-time. We developed a solution for ground operations that detects turnaround anomalies, monitors SOP compliance, tracks baggage flow, and identifies unsafe vehicle proximity in real-time, eliminating the need for constant manual footage review. Retail problems usually start quietly, when a queue gets longer, a shelf stays empty, or staff are needed elsewhere. Retailers think CCTV gives visibility. Most video is only useful after someone watches it. By then, the queue is long, or the floor is understaffed. Computer vision in retail turns existing cameras into structured events. Queue alerts. Customer flow signals. Staff allocation support. Loss prevention cues. Explore more: //lnkd.in/dKKuyA7C #ComputerVision #VideoAnalytics #LossPrevention #RetailAnalytics #SmartRetail

Some monitoring discussions focus on software. In the field, hardware decides a lot. Dust. Vibration. Weather. Remote conditions that wear down anything not built for them. That is why harsh environment matters in this conversation. CAMBOX PRO® adds portable edge AI where conditions are tougher, access is harder, and fixed coverage alone is not enough. Safe distance is often written down and never measured. Then a forklift turns a worker steps out and the near miss lives in that split second. Computer vision changes that with real-time video analytics. It reads the space between people, vehicles, and machinery as a live signal. It catches unsafe proximity before contact becomes a collision. Most incidents start where distance stops being visible. Want to learn more about it? We are proud to share that DeepX contributed to the 2nd Workshop on Dependability, Security, and Resilience for Future Airspace Safety (U-SPACE 2026), part of the 21st European Dependable Computing Conference (EDCC 2026) held at the University of Kent, Canterbury, UK (7–10 April 2026). Our research paper, “Motion-Compensated Latent Semantic Canvases for Visual Situational Awareness on Edge”, was presented by Vira Filatova and co-authored by Igor Liodin, Sergii Filatov, and Dmytro Filatov. The work focuses on advancing real-time visual situational awareness for edge-based systems—supporting safer, more resilient Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and the future of autonomous airspace. 📰 Read the paper: https://lnkd.in/dNWEzu7r We value the opportunity to engage with leading researchers and practitioners in dependable and secure computing for aviation systems. Huge thanks to the organizers for an excellent event, especially Darren Hurley-Smith (U-SPACE 2026 Co-Chair), Rogerio de Lemos (EDCC 2026 General Chair), and Naghmeh Ivaki (U-SPACE Co-Chair) for fostering a collaborative and welcoming environment. 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dswBKndp #DeepX #Uspace #EDCC2026 #AviationSafety #UAS #EdgeComputing #ComputerVision #AI #Dependability #CyberSecurity #Innovation
