Such a great Destination Michigan event in Discover Holland! And one of our attendees, Destination Consultants LLC, with a perfect summary of the event! #puremichigan #meetingsmeanbusiness
Back from Destination Michigan Connect + Learn + EduTour—and we’re inspired. We kicked things off with “The Fine Print: Mastering Contracts & Negotiations” led by Kate Hude of Dykema. The biggest takeaway? “The best thing you can do is be honest and upfront—put key terms in the RFP so hotels know exactly what they’re bidding on. From resell clauses to mutual indemnification, clarity saves everyone time and headaches.” Following roundtable discussions and a collaborative lunch, we explored Haworth’s innovative event space, toured venues including Courtyard by Marriott, Tulyp Hotel, and Holland Civic Center, then enjoyed a lakeside dinner at Boatwerks and an afterglow at Culture Cheese Shop. Day two included an education session on 2025 trends with Kim Eddings Corcoran, M.Ed., CMP, CTA, plus immersive visits to Windmill Island Gardens, Macatawa Golf Club, Tulip Immersion Gardens, Warehouse 6, and Port 393—each full of charm and potential. This trip reminded us why Holland, MI, is a top-tier destination for leadership meetings and retreats. In a recent program, we designed blended focused strategy sessions with walkable dinners, a hidden speakeasy, thrilling dune rides, and a sunset cruise on Lake Michigan.
