In a crisis, a fast response is everything. Arranging and donating air transports to deliver essential supplies to children and families in need during emergencies is a key part of our strategic partnership with UNICEF, which we signed earlier this year. In the last weeks, we’ve provided free air transports for UNICEF, to deliver essential aid to children and families in Southern Lebanon, Myanmar and Honduras. In the coming weeks, we will also deliver health supplies to Haiti due to ongoing violence and food insecurity. For all our humanitarian missions, we use our Aid & Relief Control Tower, which specialises in supporting aid shipments to difficult markets. This team consists of humanitarian logistics experts who create effective transport solutions for all needed supplies. This means we are ready to arrange and deliver life-saving supplies quickly within the crucial first 72 hours of any crisis. These early hours are crucial for ensuring that children affected by emergencies receive the immediate help they need to survive and begin their recovery. Our Group CEO Jens H. Lund says: "Our partnership with UNICEF and our ability to provide in-kind flights during emergencies is a testament to our strong operational network and unparalleled expertise and capability. It’s great to see our capacity to react swiftly and efficiently to crises, ensuring that essential supplies reach those in need. To me, this initiative underscores our commitment to leveraging our skills and resources to make a tangible difference in the world." How can we ensure the most effective aid delivery to humanitarian hotspots around the globe? This week, our teams are present at the AidEx 2024 conference in Geneva, Switzerland, to dive into this question alongside thousands of representatives from UN agencies, NGOs, foundations, governments and businesses from around the globe. As the world's leading humanitarian aid and disaster relief event, AidEx provides an excellent setting for networking, panel sessions and workshops that address current challenges and opportunities within the field. And under this year’s theme, “Revitalising Humanitarian Assistance – How do we deliver better aid in conflict-affected hot spots?”, our teams have been heavily engaged in discussions on how we can best meet the urgent challenges of humanitarian assistance in conflict-ridden regions. At DSV, we know the importance of swift and efficient deliveries of help to where it is needed the most. That’s why we have a dedicated team ready to act fast when help is required, offering flexible, reliable and cost-effective humanitarian aid transport and logistics solutions that meet the high industry standards. Johan Dalheim, Business Development Director in our Aid & Relief department, shares his takeaways from the first day of the conference: “It’s great to be back at AidEx again this year to meet with existing partners and make new connections. This event provides the ideal setting for a broad range of organisations to come together and share their expertise and resources to improve aid delivery. It truly underlines the importance of cross-sector collaboration when we want to make a difference for those in need.” If you're attending AidEx and want to explore how our aid and relief solutions can help your organisation reach the right people at the right time, you can find our teams at booth D10/e. Extending product life cycles – one spare part at a time 🔧 Regardless of your professional background and line of work, you have probably felt the frustration when a product you’ve used for years needs a simple spare part to continue working, but this spare part is no longer available. This is also becoming an increasingly common source of frustration for businesses of all sizes, as product portfolios expand and product life cycles decrease. At DSV, we are always looking for ways to drive innovation and technological developments, so we can help our customers make their operations more efficient. For this reason, we are supporting RemakerSpace, which is part of the PARC Institute of Manufacturing & Logistics run by Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, in developing a number of additive manufacturing and 3D printing solutions. Through this partnership, we want to illustrate how spare parts on demand can be a viable option for businesses in many different industries. Learn about the advantages of additive manufacturing and how it made a difference for Glory, as they began to leverage the benefits of producing low volume production parts for their business: https://ow.ly/p5BP50TAV0z #CircularEconomy #3DPrinting #Collaboration #Innovation

Every little action counts! At DSV, we are committed to giving back to the communities where we operate, and we think World Cleanup Day is a great way for us to make a difference in our local communities. Today, teams of DSV employees came together in several countries across our global network. Colleagues joined forces to celebrate World Cleanup Day with a number of initiatives to collect waste from their local beaches, forests, rivers, and streets to help create a better and healthier environment. Throughout the year, our teams voluntarily also organise clean-up initiatives during their free time, occasionally teaming up with our customers. World Cleanup Day is the world’s largest clean-up event and aligns perfectly with our commitment to better recycling practices and responsible resource use. Great to see our employees' dedication and enthusiasm in helping keep our local environment clean. A big thank you to all DSV volunteers.

From groundbreaking to completed construction in less than two years! On 10 September 2022, hundreds of local colleagues as well as key members of our executive management were gathered on an empty plot outside of Horsens in Denmark to mark the groundbreaking of our largest and most ambitious construction project to date. This week, they were back again to inaugurate the 300,000 sqm integrated logistics centre, which will play an important part in our efforts to provide customers with state-of-the-art logistics services and seamless transport between Northern and Central Europe. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions, the facility will cater to a diverse range of products, temperature requirements and industry verticals. Additionally, we have taken various measures to ensure that the building lives up to our high sustainability standards. This includes installing the world’s largest roof-based photovoltaic system with solar panels delivering 35 megawatts of electricity. This set-up will provide electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of 6,200 Danish households – enough to power the entire logistics centre as well as 140 charging stations. With our new facility now open, we look forward to continuing our work to keep our customers’ supply chains moving.
