🏛️ New Blog Recap on Dynamo AI Co-Founder’s Congressional Testimony📜 On September 18, 2025, Dynamo AI Co-Founder and President Dr. Christian Lau testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Financial Services Subcommittee on the Digital Assets, Financial Technology, and Artificial Intelligence. In the testimony, Christian highlighted that the financial services industry is at a critical moment: while AI promises unprecedented opportunities, institutions struggle to navigate unique risks in heavily regulated, high-impact environments. For an overview of the testimony, read our new blog post here: https://bit.ly/4qeoLJ9 His key message was clear: alongside core principles and practices for AI risk management, AI itself can be a critical protective control to mitigate many key AI and security risks in the sector. The path forward requires that the United States lead not just in building powerful AI systems, but in developing the protective infrastructure and policy frameworks that incentivize secure AI deployment at scale. Thanks to HFSC Chairman French Hill, Subcommittee Chairman Bryan Steil, and all Subcommittee members and staff for their leadership on these issues. Dynamo AI is proud to continue to support this important work in AI and risk management policy, in Washington and beyond. Thanks to Forbes for the coverage here: https://bit.ly/3LdArvy

Great conversation this morning on AI in Finance & Banking — many thanks to Congressman Mike Flood for hosting and State Sen. Eliot Bostar for moderating. Sharing the stage with leaders like Mihaela Kobjerowski (Chief Credit Officer, FNBO), Kevin D. Johnson (Head of AI, Synovus), and Mike de Vere (CEO, Zest AI) sparked some truly insightful discussion about the way financial institutions are adopting and scaling AI. Some highlights from our panel: ✅ Ensuring AI solutions align with compliance and internal governance ✅ Making security and privacy top priorities as AI tools move closer to everyday banking experiences ✅ Advancing transparency and trust, while reducing the risk of AI “hallucinations” ✅ Combatting bias in credit and risk decisioning ✅Using sandboxing to strengthen collaboration with regulators ✅ Noticing the innovative approaches — and shared goals — across banks of all sizes One powerful theme throughout: unlocking AI for community and regional banks, not just the largest institutions, is critical to a stronger U.S. financial system. At Dynamo AI, building secure, compliant, and responsible AI is our top priority — and it’s inspiring to see the whole industry moving in this direction! #GenAI #LLMs #Privacy #Nebraska #USA #Security #Privacy #Compliance #ResponsibleAI #USA

📌 From the FS i-Hub to Capitol Hill: Why AI Guardrails Can't Be Afterthoughts! Last Thursday, Christian Lau, co-counder of Dynamo AI, took the insights we explored in our FS i-Hub session directly to the House Financial Services Committee. His testimony on September 18th reinforced everything we discussed about intelligent guardrails—but with even higher stakes. 📍Dr. Lau's testimony revealed a stark truth: "For nearly every exciting AI proof of concept we encounter, we also see another AI POC fail to make it into production"—not because the technology fails, but because financial institutions can't answer fundamental questions about 𝐀𝐈 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. This aligns perfectly with recent #EY research showing 26% of financial services firms have no or limited controls to ensure AI systems comply with laws and regulations. Nearly a quarter lack adequate safeguards! 📍The key points Christian emphasized to Congress mirror exactly what we covered: 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐬: As Christian told lawmakers, guardrails must be "part of your architecture from the very beginning"—you can't retrofit compliance after deployment. 📍Dr. Lau's testimony highlighted 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐬 that financial institutions must address: - Model explainability: Unlike traditional models, you can't trace exactly why generative AI responded the way it did - Model sovereignty: Financial institutions need control over AI models, especially those developed by third parties - Ground truth alignment: AI systems must align with each institution's specific policies and risk tolerance - Vendor concentration: Over-dependence on single AI providers increases systemic risk - Agentic AI amplification: AI agents that make autonomous decisions amplify all existing risks 📍What This Means for everyone in our industry: Whether you're in compliance, building AI products, or making strategic decisions about AI adoption, the message from both our session and Capitol Hill is clear: - 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐭 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞—𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲'𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. The institutions that build comprehensive AI governance frameworks today will be the ones deploying AI at scale tomorrow, while others remain paralyzed by unanswered risk questions. 🎥 Missed our session with Christian? Yesterday, I laid out a framework for Congress to dominate the Agentic AI race, while managing emerging AI risks. I had the honor to testify before the US House of Representatives Financial Services Committee, where I spoke to the pioneering advances in Agentic AI we're seeing across Dynamo AI‘s work in high impact, consequential use-cases. Three key takeaways for the Committee: 1️⃣ The US cannot win the future without dominating in Agentic AI, but AI Agents can also introduce systemic risks to our infrastructure and consumer harms, especially within the financial markets 2️⃣ To unlock agents for high impact, consequential use-cases, the US must also be first in leading the future in AI redteaming and guardrail technologies 3️⃣ Countries like Singapore are already accelerating AI adoption in sandboxes, and newly introduced US legislation around AI sandboxes (e.g. HR 4801) needs to be fast-tracked and paired with industry-best redteaming to succeed. For more, read my written testimony here: http://bit.ly/4nC1YVt or watch the hearing here: http://bit.ly/3Iv2FAZ It was great to share the floor with policy and technical experts from David Cox @ IBM and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Matthew R. @ CIPL, Nicol Turner Lee @ The Brookings Institution, and Daniel Gorfine @ Gattaca Horizons LLC. Thank you to Chairman Bryan Steil, Ranking Member Stephen Lynch, and all the HFSC Subcommittee members and staff for their thoughtful questions and dedication to advancing secure AI innovation in financial services. The team at Dynamo AI looks forward to continuing to work with the subcommittee to build a competitive, secure, and compliant AI ecosystem. Thank you to Milan Dalal, Daniel Ross, Alexander Thompson, Congressman French Hill, Congressman Steil, Congressman Congressman Stephen F Lynch, Nick Rockwell, Lindsey Kelleher, Jack Solowey, Mia Wright Real for making this hearing happen!
