ERC-funded research feeds directly into solutions for society’s biggest challenges in the face of urbanisation and climate change: 🔹CoCi (ETH Zürich) demonstrates the great potential of decentralised and democratic approaches for co-creating smart cities. 🔹Water-Futures (University of Cyprus) develops a new decision-making framework for managing equitable, efficient and resilient drinking water systems. 🔹Urbisphere (Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH)) adopts a novel approach in forecasting the interplay between climate/weather and cities. 🔹2D4D (Università degli Studi di Brescia) explores how the digital revolution can be an enabler of our emissions reduction targets. 🔹scAInce (Technische Universität Darmstadt) investigates why and how cities are changing through the use of AI and related technologies – and whether they increase urban sustainability.
