Our work continues as we strive to broaden access to reliable cancer screening tools. The Cancerguard® multi-cancer early detection (MCED) test represents an important shift in how we detect cancer, and legislation like the Nancy Gardner Sewell Medicare Multi-Cancer Early Detection Screening Coverage Act will be key to expanding access for people covered by Medicare. Learn more about the growing momentum behind MCED testing. ⬇️
Appreciate the chance to discuss the importance of multi-cancer early detection (#MCED), the Nancy Gardner Sewell Medicare Multi-Cancer Early Detection Screening Coverage Act, which is crucial to bringing access to these tests to Medicare recipients, and the progress at Exact Sciences in making the Cancerguard test available with Don Jacobson of United Press International. https://lnkd.in/gcgXJmzD

Colorectal cancer is on the rise in adults under the age of 50, which is why screening starting at the age of 45 is more important than ever. Tim was 46 when his doctor mentioned that the guideline-recommended age to screen had lowered from 50 to 45. He thought he had no reason to screen but agreed to complete a Cologuard® test. He was shocked when the result was positive, and a follow-up colonoscopy revealed stage III colon cancer. Tim’s colon cancer was more treatable because of when he took action. Had he waited until age 50, he might not be living cancer-free today. Keep watching via Katie Couric Media: http://spr.ly/60467ewXM
