This week’s The Remarkable Retail Podcast episode hit on a message that couldn’t be more timely for retail leaders planning 2026 strategies: “Infinite incrementalism doesn’t move the mark when the market is rapidly shifting.” - Steve Dennis As disruption accelerates, from AI and automation to evolving consumer expectations, brands can’t afford to be timid. The ones who leap will be the ones who lead. Michael and Steve’s “Blank Canvas Strategy” challenges retailers to step back from defending the status quo and instead reimagine their core business before disruption makes it irrelevant. Just look at how DICK'S Sporting Goods is testing new retail concepts with “House of Sport”… It’s a bold move that’s rewriting what physical retail can be. So as 2026 planning ramps up, ask yourself: 🎯 What % of your budget is dedicated to long-term discovery and experimentation? 💡 Are you carving out space for innovation that goes beyond incremental tweaks? At FindMine, we see this every day, with brands using AI-powered automation to test, learn, and scale new ways of inspiring shoppers. We believe true innovation isn’t about doing more of the same; it’s about doing what others haven’t dared to try. 👉 Watch the full episode here, and reach out to FindMine explore how AI-led discovery and inspiration can fuel your next transformation: https://lnkd.in/gr5PhSrF

On the latest episode of The Remarkable Retail Podcast, Steve Dennis and Michael LeBlanc talk to David Kahan from BIRKENSTOCK about what it takes to reinvent a 250-year-old brand without ever compromising its core identity. His main message? Relentless commitment to the brand is everything. Kahan’s perspective is a powerful reminder: True innovation doesn’t come at the expense of brand DNA, it’s guided by it. That’s the philosophy that drives our technology and our partnerships. At FindMine, we make it possible for brands to scale creative, personalized experiences without ever stepping outside the bounds of their brand identity. Worth a listen for anyone thinking about how to scale without compromising what makes a brand iconic: https://lnkd.in/esfYC2bS

Let’s face it: your customer is busy, distracted, and expecting more than ever. On a recent episode of The Remarkable Retail Podcast, Steve Dennis and Michael Le Blanc speak with Lauren Steinberg of Loblaw Companies Limited about how retailers can rise to the challenge. Lauren highlights that we are operating in a world where customers are stretched thin on time, money, and attention. The retailers who win are the ones who obsess over their customers by designing around real lives, not just channels. At FindMine, this idea powers everything we do. Our AI-powered content creation platform delivers personalized, styled product recommendations that: ✔ Save time by surfacing what matters ✔ Capture customer attention through relevance ✔ Deepen trust by making customers feel understood As Lauren shares in this episode, when you meet customers where they are (and make their lives easier), you don’t just drive transactions. You build lasting relationships. 🔗 Listen here: https://lnkd.in/gyTrbvAe

700M people use ChatGPT weekly. As of this week, they can buy directly in chat (no redirect, no friction). OpenAI has just launched the Agentic Commerce Protocol, revolutionizing the way people discover products. But here's what most retailers are missing: agentic searches aren't product searches. They're outcome searches. People are searching for "What should I wear to a beach wedding?" rather than "blue linen dress size 8," and results are ranked purely on relevance. If your catalog doesn’t tell these stories, AI agents will surface your competitor's products instead of yours. Three things matter now: 1️⃣ Enable agent transactions: Implement ACP so AI can complete purchases while you stay merchant of record. Choose your payment path (Stripe's Shared Payment Token or delegated payments through your current processor). 2️⃣ Get your catalog AI-ready: Beyond basic data hygiene (accurate titles, prices, availability), you need to map product relationships (outfits, compatible items, use cases, occasions, replacements). ACP establishes these product relationships as opportunities to direct agents to your best on-brand style guidance. Without this, you're leaving it up to the agents to merchandise your catalog. 3️⃣ Prepare operations: Tag agentic channel orders, update fraud rules for this flow, document policies agents can surface pre-checkout, and brief support on agent-initiated purchases. If you're selling on Etsy or Shopify, you're already eligible. Everyone else, apply at: chatgpt.com/merchants This isn't theoretical, the channel is live NOW. Your competitors might already be in it! If this feels overwhelming, I'm happy to help talk you through it step by step. Grab time here: calendly.com/mbacharach https://lnkd.in/gXUArsQJ

One theme from the latest episode of The Remarkable Retail Podcast, featuring Pooja Chandiramani and Avinash Kaushik from Tapestry, that really resonated with our team is the leadership required to build a true data culture. Pooja and Avinash made a compelling case that it’s not just about having the data or the tech to process it, it’s about creating a culture where data is embraced as a strategic asset, especially in brand marketing. At FindMine, we’re committed to leveraging data to identify CX gaps and deliver improvements that drive measurable impact. Curious how that could look for your brand? We’re happy to offer a personalized PDP audit! Just reach out: https://lnkd.in/eA4bzNDk Huge thanks to Steve Dennis and Michael LeBlanc for continuing to surface important, nuanced topics in retail. Your PDP is probably leaking revenue. Our audit of 100+ fashion sites found floral blouses on men’s denim pages, empty rec rails on hero SKUs, and “similar” items no one would ever buy. We just published the full teardown. Give it a read below to spot the five silent killers on your site. Want a no-BS snapshot of your own PDP? We’ll send a personalized report that shows the gaps (and the upside): https://lnkd.in/eA4bzNDk #ecommerce #retail #AI #merchandising #conversion

In the latest episode of the The Remarkable Retail Podcast, Steve Dennis and Michael LeBlanc speak with Janet Hayes, CEO of Crate and Barrel. She asked a deceptively simple question: ✨ “What would I want to have as a customer?” Her answer reflects exactly what we at FindMine believe the future of retail must be. In a world where inspiration and execution are no longer separate parts of the customer journey, brands like Crate and Barrel are doubling down on technology that keeps pace with their promise: to help customers build a home they love. Janet speaks to: 🛠️ Scaling tech and operations to support an inspired shopping experience 💡 Taking a modern view of customer experience 🏡 Prioritizing humans over transactions, even post-COVID 💬 Staying relentlessly customer-centric while embracing innovation At FindMine, we couldn’t agree more. Our mission is to bridge inspiration and execution at scale, making sure every customer not only feels inspired but also knows how to bring that vision home. The future of retail is about authenticity, agility, and customer-obsessed innovation. 🎧 Give the #RemarkableRetail episode a listen here: https://lnkd.in/gzWFkjeT

We really enjoyed this episode of the Remarkable Retail Podcast featuring Jeannie Yoo, Chief Customer Officer at Draper James: https://lnkd.in/gqTmrJak One moment that really resonated: Jeannie’s take on how AI is already embedded in daily workflows, even without top-down mandates. As she put it, “there’s no excuse—you have to be more efficient with your time” and use “smarter and better tools equipping you.” At FindMine, that’s exactly what we help brands do: use AI not to replace creativity, but to scale it. We automate the grunt work that eats up hours and days, so teams can focus on what really matters: creating exceptional, brand-right experiences for their customers. And we’re about to clear away some of the other hurdles for brands, too. Stay tuned!
