𝟮𝟳 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗜 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗜 𝗞𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 It’s the 27th of October. Here are 27 harsh career truths I wish I knew before: 1/ Every job is a stepping stone. Absorb, contribute, and keep evolving. 2/ Answers don’t arrive on a silver platter—seek them out. 3/ Mistakes are unavoidable, but so is the growth they spark. 4/ First impressions last longer than you’d like. 5/ Trust is valuable, but verification is essential. 6/ Self-doubt is an obstacle only you can dismantle. 7/ You’re more capable than you realise—stretch beyond comfort. 8/ Being in the right industry matters as much as your skills. 9/ Your reputation precedes you; invest in it. 10/ If you’re anxious, it’s often a cue to make a move. 11/ Niche industries can offer big opportunities if you’re open to them. 12/ Seek leverage, whether through networks, unique skills, or new insights. 13/ Work friendships are priceless, but boundaries are wise. 14/ Hard work isn’t just a cliché—it’s a non-negotiable. 15/ Growth isn’t handed over; it’s earned, even if it takes longer than you’d hope. 16/ Blame is easy; accountability is powerful. 17/ Failures don’t define you, but how you handle them will. 18/ There’s a fine line between humility and selling yourself short—know your value. 19/ Patience is a skill; practise it for long-term success. 20/ Learning doesn’t end when the workday does—find ways to expand continuously. 21/ Building credibility takes years; losing it can take moments. 22/ Success doesn’t come by chance—it’s built, brick by brick. 23/ Your network is your net worth—invest in relationships. 24/ Feedback is a gift, even if it stings—embrace it. 25/ Career paths aren’t linear; be adaptable and open to changes. 26/ Burnout is real; prioritise your well-being to sustain your performance. 27/ There’s no one-size-fits-all recipe for success; define it on your own terms. Remember: there are no shortcuts. Keep pushing, keep learning, and never forget your purpose. What’s one career lesson that’s reshaped your journey? Let me know in the comments below ⬇️ P.S.
