Growing from a handful of people to 150+ across eight European countries changes what leadership needs to look like. That's why fiskaly is now led by two Co-CEOs. Johannes Ferner focuses on partnerships, acquisitions and external representation, while David Feichter concentrates on operations and scaling the organization. They work toward one shared goal: building Europe's infrastructure for compliant transactions. Thank you, Forbes Austria, for telling the story behind this next chapter in the fiskaly story, from our first customer to becoming one of Europe's leading compliance players. Today marks a new chapter in the fiskaly story. We've appointed David Feichter as Co-CEO, alongside our founder Johannes Ferner. Together, they will lead fiskaly through its next phase of European growth. There's a full-circle moment here. David was CPO — and later CEO — of orderbird — fiskaly's very first customer when we launched in 2019. The leader who once relied on our technology now helps run the company building it. David brings 20+ years in POS and fintech across Europe and the US, spanning Clover's high-growth years and his time leading orderbird through its acquisition by Nexi. He'll focus on operations and scaling the organization, while Johannes leads international partnerships, acquisitions and external representation. As Co-CEOs, they jointly own fiskaly's strategy and direction. Why now? We've grown our team by 250% since 2023. We're 150+ people across eight European countries, with 1,900 customers and more than one million POS systems running on our infrastructure. Since the investment from Verdane in 2024, we've scaled fast — and scaling from here takes more than momentum, it takes focus. The Co-CEO model lets us move faster, with complementary strengths pulling in one direction. The ambition is clear: build Europe's infrastructure for compliant transactions. • "Cash only" could soon be a thing of the past in Germany. 💳 The Federal Finance Ministry is planning a new obligation: shops, hospitality and service providers would have to offer at least one digital payment method — in addition to cash. What's in it: → Digital payment options: at least one European payment method must be accepted → No turnover thresholds, no extra costs for customers → Cash remains legal tender → Exemptions for clubs, flea markets and the like The context: even today, 55% of transactions in Germany are already cashless, according to the Bundesbank — and rising. Yet many shops and restaurants still run on "cash only". It's still a key-points paper, not a law. The ministry wants to bring the draft to cabinet this year — with the obligation set to take effect in 2027. Germany's mandatory use of cash registers (Kassenpflicht) has been pushed to January 1, 2028. But the draft bill is already spelling out who's affected, what changes, and what auditors will be looking for. So we're getting into the details, live. ▶️ Monday, September 14, 2026 at 16:00 CEST 🇩🇪 Webinar language: German Join cash register expert Tobias Teutemacher and fiskaly's Oliver Abl (Country Manager Germany) in discussing ...where things stand and why a draft bill already demands attention ...who's in scope and what the €100,000 turnover threshold really means ...how the receipt changes, and what happens to existing setups ...the inside of an audit, what the tax office actually checks for, first-hand ...and the recording obligation and the penalties on the table Confused about whether the threshold applies to you? Not sure if your current setup is compliant? 🎙️ We'll also answer questions in a Q&A. Ask live, or submit your question anonymously in advance. 👉 Save your spot here: https://lnkd.in/dsqDVkD8

  • One integration. Two countries with completely different rulebooks. Zero extra work for the end customer. eviivo runs an all-in-one platform for independent hosts: B&Bs, holiday rentals, boutique hotels. When fiscalization rules tightened in Germany and Spain, it faced a tough task: keep a broad customer base compliant in both markets. And the two could hardly be more different. 🇩🇪 Germany's KassenSichV requires a certified TSS. 🇪🇸 Spain runs Verifactu nationwide, with TicketBAI on top in the Basque Country — each with its own signing and reporting rules. Instead of building that expertise in-house (and taking on Germany's demanding BSI certification), eviivo integrated fiskaly SIGN DE and SIGN ES straight into its platform. One connection means both countries are covered. "Our aim was for hosts to feel the benefits of the integration but not see the complexity behind it. For them, fiscalization shouldn't be an extra process — it should just work." Maxim Gubin (Country Manager DACH at eviivo) The result: around 100 hosts in Germany and Spain, automatically compliant. No separate systems, no local rules to manage, no compliance team to build. For the hosts, nothing changes — they run their business while compliance and updates stay handled in the background. 🔗 Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/eNVV4KHJ
