  • OCI was the last major cloud with no local emulator. Not anymore. Four down. Any Cloud. Locally. floci.io/oci

Floci - Any Cloud. Locally. speaks Oracle Cloud now. floci-oci is live, the fourth emulator in the family after AWS, Azure, and GCP. OCI is the only major cloud with no local emulator at all. No LocalStack equivalent, no dev container, nothing. Testing has always meant a real tenancy and real network round trips, even in CI. That gap is closed. One container on port 4599. Object Storage, Identity, Queue, Streaming, Vault and KMS, Secrets, and Functions. Point the OCI CLI, the SDKs, Terraform, or OpenTofu at it and keep the workflow you already have. Real engines, not mocks. KMS does actual AES-GCM, RSA, and ECDSA crypto. Functions runs your image through a real fnserver sidecar. The official oracle/oci Terraform provider works unmodified. The screenshot is the whole setup. Three commands, then oci os ns get just works. MIT. No feature gates, no telemetry, no account. Light, fluffy, and always free. Four clouds down. Floci: Any Cloud. Locally. Floci - Any Cloud.

𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 shouldn’t feel impossible. For years, I’ve seen the same gap : Developers and QA teams blocked by slow, costly cloud feedback loops. Want to test a bucket, validate access, or debug infra behavior? You wait for deployment, deal with credentials, and burn time (and money) before you even know if it works. Floci - Any Cloud. Locally. is changing that. It lets you run Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure DevOps, and Google Cloud (GCP) 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀 --- > no credentials, no heavy setup. You may #build, #test and #validate infrastructure behavior early, then switch configs and push to staging or prod when ready. That’s the kind of fast feedback loop modern teams and AI-driven systems actually need. I wish I had the power of floci few years back Built by Hector Venturafloci.io

  • Top 25. Floci just landed at #22 in OSSCAR's Q2 2026 Scaling division. The numbers behind it: ⭐ 17K stars, up 4.77x this quarter 👥 186 contributors, up 3.13x 📦 11.1K downloads across NPM and PyPI Why it matters: developers are actively looking for a cloud emulator they can trust to stay open. Floci is MIT licensed, built on Quarkus Native and GraalVM, and covers AWS today with Azure and GCP editions in progress. If you run integration tests against AWS, Azure or GCP, try it locally in seconds: https://floci.io Full ranking: https://lnkd.in/e-9Bx3ru #OpenSource #CloudComputing #Testing #Java #DevEx

Hola gente.

Happy to support open source, whether by contributing code or helping in any way I can. Floci is a project I genuinely enjoy because of what it offers to developers. Thanks for the mention!

Thank you, Friends of the Flock Companies sponsor open source for many good reasons. Individuals sponsor for exactly one: the tool earned it. These developers back Floci out of their own pockets: Albert E. Hidalgo Taveras Matheus Oliveira Allan Pereira Abrahão Eduardo Lugo Vela Nickalus Brewer We call them Friends of the Flock. No tier requirements, no logos, no contracts. Just people who use a free tool and decided to give something back so it stays free for the next developer. If Floci saves you time in CI every week, this is the club to join. A few dollars from many people is what keeps the promise honest: no account, no auth token, no feature gates, for anyone, ever. Thank you, friends. Links in the first comment.
