🌍✨ It's National Stress Awareness Day! ✨🌍 Today, let's take a moment to recognize the importance of mental health and the impact of stress on our lives. Whether it’s work, family, or everyday challenges, stress can affect us all. Here are a few tips to manage stress effectively: Breathe Deeply: Take a few minutes to focus on your breath. Inhale, hold, and exhale slowly. Get Moving: A short walk or some light exercise can boost your mood and reduce tension. Connect: Reach out to a friend or loved one. Sharing your feelings can lighten the load. Unplug: Take a break from screens and social media to recharge your mind. Practice Gratitude: Write down three things you're grateful for today. Remember, it’s okay to ask for help if you need it. Let’s support each other in finding balance and peace. 💖 #NationalStressAwarenessDay #MentalHealthMatters #SelfCare #StressRelief

This past Tuesday, we enjoyed a fantastic day at the Talent Connection Job Expo, presented by Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. [FREE], ACLD , the Town of Oyster Bay, the New York State Department of Labor, and ACCES VR. Our FREE Players, Marching Drums, and Color Guard kicked off the event with a stirring rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner. Job seekers with intellectual and developmental disabilities had the opportunity to connect with over 40 exhibitors, explore diverse employment options, and build meaningful relationships within the Long Island community. We were privileged to have Legislator Rose Marie Walker and Keynote Speaker Ken Kunken share inspiring messages during our program. Additionally, Jessica Spitz and Brett Thorschmidt from FREE were honored with Top Star Employee Awards for their outstanding contributions. Attendees also experienced cutting-edge technology from Besser E.Mersive Rooms, showcased at several ACLD Day Service locations. Candleworks by ACLD participated as an exhibitor, inviting attendees to discover their wonderful products and learn about their mission. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the Talent Connection Job Expo a success! #supportedemployment #vocationalservices #accesvr #NDEAM #jobsforall New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities @nysopwdd @rosewalker_17 @ken.kunken @freefamilyres @town.of.oyster.bay @candleworks_byacld
