I was very proud to represent FreeWill in my community last Friday. So grateful to work for a company that encourages staff to give back to our nonprofit partners! If you're in the DC area, you too can volunteer at the Capital Area Food Bank's Urban Demonstration Garden. I can't say enough good things about their garden crew and volunteer managers - the volunteer experience was so much fun! 🍅 🥬 https://lnkd.in/eVQkB-Hk
Last week, FreeWillians around the world joined our first official Day of Volunteering, partnering with over 35 nonprofits across 5 countries to support local communities and causes we care deeply about. From sorting through clothing donations and feeding children in the community to helping with flood response efforts and repairing dog toys for animal shelters, our teams brought the same kindness, empathy, and purpose that define our culture. A huge thank you to the nonprofits and partners who welcomed us, and to every FreeWillian who gave their time to make a real impact. 📣 DAF Day is this Thursday, October 9th! Have you thought about how Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) and planned giving can work hand in hand? DAFs offer a flexible, powerful way for donors to support your mission over time. When you pair them with planned giving, you can: ✅ Invite families into the giving conversation ✅ Encourage naming a loved one as a DAF successor ✅ Remind donors they can designate an organization (maybe yours!) to receive remaining DAF funds It’s not too late to join this year’s DAF Day!
