Check out Jonathan Bell’s new feature in Wallpaper* about how Montblanc and fuseproject reimagined the future of writing. The Montblanc Digital Pen was designed to carry the visual language of the Meisterstück while seamlessly pairing with digital paper. Our role was to preserve the emotional connection of pen on paper, bringing heritage cues into a new technological context. Felix Obschonka, Director of New Technologies at Montblanc frames the opportunity beautifully: “While digital tools provide efficiency and convenience, handwriting offers a more immersive, reflective, and emotionally rich experience.” Yves Behar reflects on the design process: “Design had to balance two worlds, maintaining Montblanc’s DNA while ensuring a frictionless, modern digital experience.” Read the article https://lnkd.in/eunneGdt Make it yours! https://lnkd.in/eiF3UKgY #design #innovation #luxury

We’re thrilled to share that Yves Behar’s work is featured in the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts’ new exhibition ‘From the Functional to the Fabulous: 600 Years of Decorative Arts and Design’, now on view at the Liliane and David M. Stewart Pavilion. As Founder and CEO of fuseproject, Yves has spent his career proving that design drives the adoption of new ideas. Two of his most influential projects are part of the Museum’s permanent collection and are included in this landmark exhibition: XO Laptop Designed in collaboration with One Laptop per Child, the XO was the first affordable, rugged, and low-power laptop created specifically for children in developing countries. It represented a radical shift in technology access, combining open-source software, ultra-low energy consumption, and an iconic, kid-friendly design to bridge the global digital divide. Sayl Chair Developed for Herman Miller, Sayl redefined ergonomic office seating by using a frameless, 3D-intelligent back inspired by suspension bridges, dramatically reducing material use while increasing freedom of movement. Sayl proved that world-class ergonomics, design innovation, and sustainability could be delivered at an accessible price point, expanding who could benefit from high-performance seating. This ambitious exhibition brings together more than 800 works spanning six centuries, showcasing designers and innovators including Charles and Ray Eames, Marcel Breuer, Gaetano Pesce, Isamu Noguchi, Ettore Sottsass, Hella Jongerius, and Douglas Ball, among many others. The result is a sweeping narrative that connects the evolution of design, from historic craft objects to contemporary breakthroughs that shape how we live, work, and communicate. Yves’ work is also celebrated in the permanent collections of The Museum of Modern Art (New York), Art Institute of Chicago, and Centre Pompidou (Paris), recognition of its enduring influence on global design culture. The exhibition is a must-see for anyone passionate about the power of design to improve lives. https://lnkd.in/e-fCid3P

Congratulations to our partners at CIONIC on launch of the Neural Sleeve 2, a major leap forward in mobility care. The CIONIC Neural Sleeve 2 is the first and only FDA-cleared wearable that can activate muscle movement and relax muscle spasms at the same time — helping millions of people with MS, cerebral palsy, stroke, spinal cord injury, and other conditions improve walking, reduce pain, and regain independence. Designed by fuseproject, this next-generation sleeve is more flexible, easier to put on, and adaptable to more users, so it can empower even more people in their daily lives. The first-generation Neural Sleeve proved the impact of this innovation, helping users log over 500 million steps and improve gait by 94%, and was recognized as a Fast Company Innovation by Design Impact winner and one of Time Inc.’s 100 Best Inventions. The Neural Sleeve 2 builds on that success, setting a new benchmark for wearable neurotechnology. Learn more https://lnkd.in/eEX3EP-y #innovation #design Jeremiah Robison KiMae Heussner

Big thanks to Frame Magazine for exploring the craft and technology that made VOLTA from LAUFEN Bathrooms possible. VOLTA was developed in collaboration with LAUFEN’s expert craftspeople in Switzerland and Austria, including visits to their world-first electric tunnel kiln (E-Kiln) in Gmunden. This CO₂-free process allows LAUFEN to create ceramics sustainably while maintaining the precision and artistry that define their work. The result is a basin that feels alive — not just in the way water moves through it, but in the way it was conceived, shaped, and refined by hand before meeting the most advanced manufacturing technology in the industry. Volta, by Yves Behar, Founder and CEO of fuseproject was unveiled at Salone del Mobile.Milano earlier this year. https://lnkd.in/e2tVhiEX Nice choice! The Sayl Chair designed by Yves Behar and fuseproject with Herman Miller was created to deliver world-class ergonomics, at a lower cost and with fewer materials — inspired by the engineering of suspension bridges. Its frameless back encourages natural movement and supports a range of postures, making it a favorite for design lovers, offices, and apparently… teenagers. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do: creating designs that are not just beautiful, but timeless, functional, and meaningful to people of every age. 💡 What was the first design object that made you stop and think about the power of design? #DesignForEveryone #IndustrialDesign #SaylChair #YvesBehar #design #innovation #Fuseproject #HermanMiller #DesignMatters The Monkey Puzzle Tree Ltd | Multi award winning fabrics and wallpapers for luxury interiors with a twist and a conscience When my 16 year old finally understood… Yesterday our techy son requested a Herman Miller chair to replace his broken desk chair - I was surprised and relieved as I was expecting him to want a red and black pleather gaming monstrosity. But he’d read lots of reviews and done the research and decided that this was the best chair for the job. So I found a nearly new one on Facebook marketplace and we went to pick it up. On the way there we discussed what makes the chair command such a high price (£800 new), and I talked about branding, design and quality. And then I said ‘Oh, and Herman Miller have been awarded some Design Guild Mark s like me’. At which point I saw the penny drop. ‘YOU have the same awards as Herman Miller?! But they are a big proper company!’ Finally, I might get some respect!

Yves Behar, Founder and CEO of fuseproject, Aaron Gotwalt, and Nadeem Kassam have been thinking about what truly makes an intelligent home, and they’re ready to share what they have created Doma Home Inc., your intelligence layer for the home. The smart home has not lived up to its promises, with clunky, single-task devices that rarely talk to each other. Doma is about offering an elevated experience. Built directly into the surfaces of your home, Dome is as reliable as your electricity, as seamless as your plumbing, and as beautiful as great architecture. Doma will bring you peace of mind, and cater to your preferences, pioneering an intelligent home experience. Thanks Mark Wilson at Fast Company for hearing the team’s vision. Check out his story to learn more about Doma, and stay tuned for what’s next to come. Read more https://lnkd.in/eYue2ey7
