Hats off to the Juno Propulsion team and this important raise to support Project IRIS, which will be the first rotating detonation combustion (RDC) spacecraft propulsion system ever demonstrated on orbit. We loved working with your team at the SOSV HAX office in Newark, NJ. https://lnkd.in/gC3Nne73
Big milestone for Juno Propulsion 🚀 We're excited to share that we've raised a $1.4M pre-seed round led by SOSV Ventures, with participation from Hypernova, Leslie Ventures, Activate, Collab Fund, Safar Partners, and Cape Fear Ventures. This funding moves us one step closer to launching Project IRIS, which will be the first rotating detonation combustion (RDC) spacecraft propulsion system ever demonstrated on orbit. Over the past year, we've: • Won a NASA TechLeap Space Technology Payload Challenge award • Completed Build Round 2, our final major program milestone • Activated our propulsion test facility in Tukwila, WA • Grown our team to five people • Continued advancing a 45 N green-propellant propulsion system powered by nitrous oxide and ethane Our flight demonstration is currently targeted for Q1 2027 and will be enabled through both this investment and NASA's support through TechLeap. A huge thank you to our investors, NASA, partners, advisors, and everyone who has helped us get to this point. We're just getting started.
