Race day can feel like the main event for your business. But it shouldn’t be the whole customer relationship. For endurance organizations, there are opportunities far beyond any single registration or event. If you look beyond race day, your participants can become customers #ForTheLongRun, not to mention fundraisers, volunteers, members, ambassadors, merchandise buyers, and advocates for your community. The organizations that connect these experiences across the full customer journey are the ones who will continue to grow year-over-year. With better data, more relevant engagement and communication, and by providing year-round value to their customers, these event businesses can strengthen the relationships that keep customers coming back. In our latest article, we explore what it means to think beyond race day and build an event business around the relationships that drive lasting growth. You may have seen him around. Now it’s time to properly meet Nacho, haku’s official mascot! Nacho isn’t just a mascot. He’s part of our story. 🐒🧡 Long before haku, Nacho was a tiny titi monkey who became an unexpected member of Carlos and Jose’s family in Peru, and one of the most memorable parts of their childhood. Today, Nacho represents something that has stayed with haku from the beginning: the importance of family, lifelong friendships, curiosity, and seeing opportunities where others might not. So, we thought it was time for a proper introduction. Swipe to meet Nacho and learn the story behind haku’s official mascot. #haku #MeetNacho #CompanyCulture #OurStory #LifeAthaku #hakuCommunity #ForTheLongRun

If you see volunteers as just support for your event, you're missing the bigger picture. Your volunteers help shape the experience your participants, donors, and supporters remember. Every interaction, from check-in and registration to wayfinding, fundraising, and event-day support, reflects your organization and its mission. Yet many organizations still treat volunteer management as a race-week or event-day checklist instead of a year-round strategy. When volunteers feel informed, prepared, and valued, events run more smoothly, participants feel more supported, and your organization builds stronger, lasting relationships. In our latest article, we explore why volunteer experience is one of the most overlooked drivers of participant experience, and how treating volunteers as a key audience can improve operations, retention, and overall event success. Looking back just a few short months ago, we were spending hours each week switching and moving data amongst 8 separate platforms when we wanted to be focusing on our supporter relationships to move our mission forward. We’ve since moved one unified solution with haku and managed to: ⬇️Reduce manual Salesforce data entry, 🖱️simplify our offline donation management, and 🤗create a better fundraising experience for our supporters. All with just one login, one source of truth for our donor data, and one immensely supportive CX team. When asked about it, our Director of Partnerships, Corey Tanner said: “The haku team was incredibly helpful to my colleagues and me in what was a big decision for our organization.” All of these improvements helped support our largest marathon fundraising year yet, and we're excited to continue building on that momentum 🏃➡️🏃♀️➡️ Read our Customer Spotlight on the haku website: https://lnkd.in/eTAR5_TZ
What happens when a national nonprofit consolidates eight separate systems into one unified platform? We spoke with Corey Tanner, Director of Partnerships at Back on My Feet, about what changed when their team moved from eight separate systems to one unified haku platform. “haku has wowed me in every way,” Corey shared. “The ability to reduce so many tools into one platform that does everything we need, paired with a team that is willing and even excited to help you succeed, is something you can’t get everywhere.” Now, haku is proud to support Back on My Feet as they manage fundraising, events, ticketing, email, reporting, and more in one place, giving the team more time to focus on its mission of using running to help people experiencing homelessness and addiction transform their lives.
