Please meet Gabby Cazeau, Partner at Harlem Capital, a venture capital firm on a mission to change the face of entrepreneurship by investing in 1,000 diverse founders over the next 20 years. As an inspiring force at Harlem Capital, Gabby’s not just investing in underrepresented tech founders but driving a movement toward a more inclusive future in venture capital. With an engineering and product management foundation, she combines technical insight with a visionary approach to elevate startups pushing boundaries. Her commitment to diversity and meaningful change has made her a standout in the industry, empowering a new generation of transformative founders to thrive. She has been featured in Business Insider and CNBC and named to HBCUvc’s 31 Under 31 list. 📣 If she were to give a TEDTalk today it would be on 👉 The Power of Community. “And the art of building authentic communities, both in VC and in personal life, by being deeply intentional in cultivating connections that reflect and enhance our sense of belonging and purpose in an increasingly disconnected world." 💡 Her advice for up and coming professionals? 👉  Build your bench of mentors!  “We learn & grow the most in community with others. Especially when we approach building that community in a 360 way, where we learn from those ahead, alongside, and behind us. Some of my most valuable VC insights have come from trusted peers, proving that mentorship at every level is incredibly enriching.” ⭐️Connect with Gabby & learn more below. ___________________ Wednesday Women is supported by Commsor 🦕 - where business and personal success is created by a focus on “go-to-network” and relationship-driven growth. 🚀 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗮𝗦 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽𝘀 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀? We took a deep dive into successful Enterprise Vertical SaaS players like nCino and Veeva. Here’s what we found: 4 key strategies to scale and thrive. 🔎 Validate the Problem: It’s all about understanding real customer pain points. Guidewire Software’s founder sat with insurance teams to observe their workflows, turning insights into actionable solutions. Building trust starts with listening. 🤝 Partnerships & Integrations: Success in SaaS requires speed in adoption. By partnering with Accenture, nCino expanded its reach without scaling a large salesforce, accelerating onboarding for enterprise clients. Strategic integrations = faster growth! 🔥 Catalyst Events & Expanding TAM: Early credibility often comes from marquee clients, like Mark43's partnership with DC Metro Police. Later, expanding TAM through lighter offerings helps reach more clients, just like Blend did with smaller customers. For more information, you can read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/gAGJKbrs Scaling in Vertical SaaS takes strategy, resilience, and the right partners. Harlem Capital is excited to support visionary founders driving these industries forward. If you’re ready to take your startup to the next level, we’d love to hear from you!

    CEO & Co-Founder at Finix

Today Finix is excited to announce we’ve raised $75M in Series C funding led by Acrew Capital and co-led by Leap Global Partners and Lightspeed. When we started Finix, we were big believers in the developer movement. We still are! Since then, we’ve recognized that there’s been a major shift in the market. Even businesses that have developers don’t want to spend their time or resources on payments — they want highly brandable and configurable payment components. From startups to publicly traded companies, merchants to vertical SaaS companies, customers of all sizes are taking advantage of Finix’s no-code solutions. Today, every feature in Finix's broad product suite is now available in no-code, low-code, and API-driven solutions. If Adyen is for the enterprise, Square is for card present SMBs, Stripe is for the developer-centric startup, Finix is for the 22M businesses without enough developers. 💥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬 Harlem Capital hosted a brunch for LA's most innovative women founders & funders last week alongside Gunderson Dettmer. This intimate gathering was a chance to create a table where everyone could share their personal and professional triumphs and tribulations. These women are building next-gen scam protection software, a way to get rewarded while paying for childcare, and the ultimate AI-first universal content inspector, among others. We had a single conversation the whole meal, discussing topics including: · How important is it to cultivate a personal board of advisors? How did you build yours? · For founders — what is something about the journey that VCs don’t understand? Tell us about a difficulty or what you wish VCs would know. For VCs — what do you feel founders should know? · What are some practices you implemented to maintain work-life harmony? How do you achieve balance, especially when navigating motherhood and work? Thanks to Melody Hahm & Jennifer Sayles Okorn for hosting! To all the tenacious women building out there, reach out so we can include you at our next event. 📸: Ashlee Driver 🍽: Alta / Adams Wine Shop 🍪: Lara Adekoya of Fleurs et Sel #venturecapital #VC #losangeles #founder #latechweek
