Exciting News! I-GIS A/S is part of a “Grand Solutions” Grant Project supported by Innovation Fund Denmark! 🏆 🌱 We are proud to announce that I-GIS is part of OdinsAEye — a 3-year project with the aim to transform #sustainablefarming through intelligent vision and data-driven decision-making; translating the insights we get via visual analysis to farm actions. 💹 This new project unites a strong consortium to develop a closed-loop system that goes beyond simply identifying #weeds — it delivers actionable recommendations for the field. At I-GIS, our role is to connect the different layers and players (from camera to FMS) and incorporating our inhouse CropWeed recognition model into the loop to the benefit of real-world farm operations. The project focus lies on turning complex data into practical tools that farmers can trust and use every day. Project focus: ✅ Providing the best possible plant recognition for optimized management decision making ✅ Enabling precise, data-driven herbicide applications ✅ Developing scalable and standardized data infrastructures for agriculture We are excited to collaborate with our project partners including Aarhus University (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aarhus University), AI Lab ApS, AG Precision ApS, PerPlant, and our test farmer Rasmus Erik Frøkær Eriksen. Odin with his two all-seeing ravens was the inspiration for Rasmus Nyholm Jørgensen and this project and we are thrilled to be part of it and looking forward to what we can achieve. ReDoCO2 is concluding its project phase - valuable methods and insights are now being carried forward into new applications and use cases.
PROJECT END The end results of the ReDoCO2 project: Using Drones and AI to Reduce Peatland CO2 Emissions; But not the end of the mission! ReDoCO2 is wrapping up the project work and transferring the knowledge into new applications, insights and business cases. Peatlands store huge amounts of carbon, but when drained for agriculture, they release significant CO2 emissions. In Denmark, cultivated peat soils are among the country’s largest single sources of land-based greenhouse gases. Much effort and many projects are targeting this, but often precise knowledge about the where the carbon is and amounts involved is missing. The ReDoCO2 project was created to address this challenge using advanced drone technology, geophysics, and artificial intelligence. The project brought together Aarhus University (Department of Agroecology - Aarhus University), Aalborg University, Region Midtjylland, I-GIS A/S, and SkyTEM to improve how peat soils are mapped and monitored. By combining drone-mounted sensors, 3D geological mapping, and machine learning, the team developed a more accurate way to identify peatland areas and estimate their climate impact. One of the project’s key innovations is an airborne-based transient electromagnetic system capable of collecting detailed underground data quickly and efficiently. The biggest advantage of ReDoCO2 is precision. Traditional peatland maps often lack detail, making climate decisions less effective. ReDoCO2 provides field-level insights that support smarter land-use planning, better carbon accounting, and more targeted climate action. The project also highlights the value of collaboration between universities, public authorities, and technology companies. By combining scientific research with practical tools, ReDoCO2 demonstrates how innovation can support real-world climate solutions. As countries continue working toward ambitious climate goals, the technologies developed through ReDoCO2 could play an important role in future peatland restoration projects across Europe and beyond. Reach out to the members of the project if you are interested in our findings or see if a collaboration could be of interest for your mapping case. Great to see such strong engagement around groundwater, modelling and applied learning. At I•GIS, we value these settings because they reflect how we work ourselves, through collaboration, shared data and structured modelling workflows. A big thank you to all participants for the openness and curiosity during the workshop. It was great to see how quickly the group engaged with building and understanding 3D geological models in practice.
✨ The 11th YWPDK Annual Conference 2026 is here! ✨ The morning at WATEC Aarhus University Centre for Water Technology began with a welcome and a keynote by Uffe Sognstrup Thomsen who introduced WATEC and the work they are doing at Aarhus University. Afterwards Barth F. Smets gave a keynote speech: “Water resilience – Are you ready”, which gave insights on why it is THE time to be a water professional. 💧 🌍 This was followed by a fun networking activity where participants had the opportunity to meet peers and share experiences. 🤝 We then had two rounds of engaging and insightful technical presentations on wastewater treatment, resource recovery, groundwater management, urban drainage and much more. 🌊 In the final part of the day, we had a fun workshop with I•GIS A/S. Thomas Bager Rasmussen and Nour Hawa introduced geological modelling and then we got to do a hands-on exercise where we made our own small 3D geological models. 🌍 🪨 A big thank you to all participants and presenters for being here - and a thanks to all our network partners for their support! 🙌🏼 Thank you to WATEC for hosting us on this first day of the conference. 🙏 DHI DANVA Ramboll NIRAS Envidan Denmark COWI DI Vand / DI Danish Water Industries International Water Association Danish Water Forum

𝐀 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 We are proud to announce a significant milestone for the INTEGRATE project, funded by Innovationsfonden. Our work goes beyond technological development; it's a fundamental re-evaluation of how we characterize and understand subsurface resources. Our consortium, including I•GIS A/S, Department of Geoscience (Aarhus Universitet), GEUS, SGU, WSP Danmark, Università degli Studi di Cagliari, Region Midtjylland, and Region Syddanmark, recently concluded a productive two-day workshop. During this session, we demonstrated our initial developments, validated our new workflow, and for the first time, integrated the full scope of our probabilistic geophysical inversion approach. The workshop results confirm that this new methodology has the potential to fundamentally change how we map subsurface construction materials. Our approach addresses a critical challenge in traditional mapping by quantifying uncertainty. Instead of providing a single model, our inversion provides a spectrum of plausible geological models and assigns a measure of confidence to each. This transforms uncertainty into actionable knowledge, enabling more robust and data-driven decisions. This forward momentum reinforces our confidence in advancing the field of resource mapping. We are moving toward an industry where subsurface characterization is faster, more reliable, and far more sustainable. #Innovation #Sustainability #Geoscience #Future #INTEGRATE

Turning Groundwater Data into Actionable Insight – Training Tomorrow’s Experts Today Water resource management isn’t just about access — it’s about precision, insight, and the right tools. This August, we were proud to once again contribute to the Advanced Water Cycle Management Summer School — a two-week program that brought together students and professionals from 15 countries, all focused on tackling one of our most urgent global challenges: Water. At I•GIS A/S, we led hands-on sessions in groundwater data handling and geological modelling, guiding participants through geophysical interpretation, surface water recharge, and subsurface visualization using GeoScene3D. From classic modelling techniques to cutting-edge machine learning, they explored how to better understand the hidden world beneath our feet. Summer School wasn’t just theory. Students worked in teams on real-world modelling exercises, using actual geophysical data to map what can’t be seen. Combined with site visits, expert lectures, and social activities, they got a full view of Denmark’s water innovation ecosystem in action. Why does this matter? Because clean water depends on smart decisions — and smart decisions start with solid data. That’s why we’re committed to sharing our expertise, building capacity, and training the next generation of water professionals. Curious about the Summer School?
